AMA! Congo, documentary, mma, etc.

Matt brown recently did an AMA and it was terrific. Ben Saunders is an inspiring guy on an awesome journey, and just announced he is doing a documentary (which looks AWESOME). And this week Joe Rogan sent Fight For The Forgotten a check from his JRE bitcoin podcast and he personally matched it which will now pay, in FULL for the next water well we dig... Water well #10, AWESOME! All these things got me thinking, it's been a while since I posted a new thread.

So, I thought we could do an AMA thread...

I will have decent Internet connection the next couple of days :-) Phone Post 3.0

Here are some subjects/facts/updates that might stir up some questions.

-My fiancé gets here tomorrow, she is staying in the jungle of EASTERN CONGO with me for two months while we try to hit Fight For The Forgotten's target of 12 wells in 2014. In Feb of 2014 she has her first camping experience EVER, and it was in the jungle and she slept in the rain (being dropped on) a twig and leaf hut... Bugs... Etc. She is a trooper and I'm blessed she loves me like she does!

-Also, a filmmaker is coming in town tomorrow with a team from Water4 Foundation. I'm speaking at their gala in mid October and they are coming to film the 9 wells we've done so far (8 wells completed for my Pygmy family, 1 is halfway finished now) the filmmaker is collecting footage for the event.

-The filmmaker and I agreed also to make a trailer for a potential documentary. He will see how much interest and support it garners and then we will maybe do a kick starter campaign to fund the making of the documentary. I'm excited about the potential of me filming a documentary and getting the voice of my Pygmy family heard. It's the only promise I've ever made to them. The chief (and my grandfather in the tribe) Jayloowah told me, "no one knows of our suffering, we don't have a voice." And then he asked me, "can you help us have a voice?" I think this documentary could really help me fulfill that promise to them. Phone Post 3.0

-So far we've done 9 water wells. On the 10 plots of land that we acquired for my Pygmy family... That is one square kilometer for each of the 10 new villages of an average of 140 total... 1,400 people total... One square kilometer is 247 acres so we've lobbied, negotiated, and purchased (legally) 2,470 acres of land for the Pygmies who have never legally owned land before in Congo. Our goals this year were to address three things: Land, Water, Food. Farming project is up next.

-I recently turned 27 years old... And I'm realizing I deeply miss MMA.

-My best friend, the 9-0 Josh "The CuddlyBear" Copeland just signed a four fight contract with the UFC! BOOMSHAKALAKA! He is an absolute BEAST! I'll be cornering him in his UFC debut when I get back from Congo.
