I throw some names out to get the ball rolling.
1.David Terrell

3.Cameron Earle
4.Dave Myers
5.Dave Camarillo
6.Jake Shields
7.Paul Schreiner
8.Bill Cooper
9.Luke Stewart
10.Nick Diaz
Where would you rank these guys and why?
Penn
Lovato
Fowler
Monson
Terrell
Honorable mention:
Cooper
Hall
Chris Moriaty?
Gotta have Camarillo in there
I'm biased but I definitely think if you look at overall career resume Jack McVicker has an amazing record, but all the guys mentioned are amazing competitiors.
penn
lovato
ryron
rener
javi
you r talking gi ,right
I'm talking overall. Gi and No-gi.
In the Gi, in no particular order, the ranking would look something like this (note that this lsit is based primarily on Mundial results):
Robert Drysdale
Raphael Lovato
BJ Penn
Bill Cooper
Garth Taylor
Three of these guys have won at black belt and the other two have made the finals.
- Penn- First American World Champion
2. Lovato- World Champion
3. Cooper- 2nd Place Jiu Jitsu World Championships.
4. Glover- No gi World Champion
5. Kron Gracie- Has not done anything at Black belt...but he will.
You should not inclue Drysdale in this list.
Actully, I should have fit Dean Lister in for winning the absoulute in ADCC.
dont forget Baret Yoshida, from Hawaii. invited to every Abu Dhabi and always placing in top 3
Baret
there are to many to just name 5 but ill vote for baret and BJ but there are so many more
Penn- First American World Champion
Lovato- World Champion
Cooper- 2nd Place Jiu Jitsu World Championships.
Glover- No gi World Champion
Kron Gracie- Has not done anything at Black belt...but he will.
Eric William 3 gold and 2 silver medals in the Int'l Masters BJJ Championships Black belt div in Brazil with golds in both his weight class and absolute.
GI
1. Rafael Lovato Jr.
2. Robert Drysdale
3. BJ Penn
4. Garth Taylor
5. Rener Gracie
NO-GI
1. Jeff Monson
2. Robert Drysdale
3. Dean Lister
4. Baret Yoshida
5. David Terrell
DRysdale was born in the USA. His parents moved him to Brazil when he was small.
what did he do to piss them off?
Right now i'd say that Lovato is the most accomplished with the Gi having won the mundials as well as placing second, no gi might go to Monson his 2 Adcc wins are impressive but he never won the absolute like Lister did so it's a toss up.
I thought Drysdale moved back to America for University, and then took up BJJ with JohnLewis at J-sect.
Lister, Bravo, Lovato, Javi, Penn, Serra, Monson.
