This is an excerpt from my new video series about the Reverse Triangle & The X-Shield.
Why would the person just keep their arm on your waist? Not the arm in the triangle… the other arm.
Wouldn’t they just use that arm to base?
Doesn’t seem realistic unless the opponent has never trained a day in their life.
There are many reasons. The No. 1 reason is that you have for example an arm saddle and your opponent is trying to hide the arm under his belly. It is a whole system of sweeps you can go to both directions or even can come up on your knees if you can’t execute the sweep.
If you want your Guard to be more mobile and unpredictable, and you want to add the Reverse Triangle as an unusual yet powerful and effective submission to your Guard Game, this series is for you. Learn how to combine the Reverse Triangle, the X-Shield and the arm saddle to create a steady attacking flow.
