want to join a bjj school,
im a total noob to gi-bjj but got a little no-gi experience
want to find a school that does GI but would be better if had both
Where in town are you exactly? On Queen St. is the main Relson Academy. You have FCTV/KTeam in Nuuanu, Team HK right across Pucks Alley which is right off of King St. near UH. There's Grappling Unlimited in Manoa. HMC right in the heart of Kalihi right before China Town. There's a lot of schools in town.
gonna be staying around chinatown side, but will work somewhere around ala moana
do any of these schools got a website?
seems like fctv/kteam is a perfect location for me
i just looked at gracieuptown.comhow come bjj class is only once a week?or are there more classes?
what does the HK and K stand for?
Good luck finding a school you like t5, there are a bunch of good schools here in Honolulu.
Welcome to the HG
and "alphadogg" (Todd Tanaka) on here runs TeamHK and "FCTV808" has the UptownJJ and K-Team.
"K" is for Kaneohe the area the school is located.
Hope that helps.
thanks jimmynaks
i guess need to find out my schedule before deciding on a school
No problem. and if you're new to Hawaii, the HG is a great place to find out places to eat and go to as well.
I been here for 6years and I only went to a bunch of places for the 1st time AFTER reading about it on the HG.
If you go to uptown, careful of that furuta guy... he smashes people. ;)
or "Frikken Furuta" as I like to call him.
