Sakuraba sported a blackbelt in some recent pics. Dont know if he officially recieved one although he probably is on that level, but does it occur that people get promoted from white to purple/bromwn/black at one time (if they deserve it)?

When I used to train with Relson Gracie in Hawaii I think he mentioned that he didn't do Brown Belt.
