Has any fighter ever done worse unto the UFC than Jon Jones? Nothing comes to mind. Has there been anything even in the same ballpark?
This isn't a mindless Jon Jones hate thread. I'm curious who has done worse to the UFC, what happened to them, and where they are today.
Rampage?
Kalib Starnes was bad but not like this. Silva taunting Maia in Abu Dhabi was bad too.
PTM2020 -
Hahahahahahahaha
sparkuri - Rampage?
What did Rampage do? Couldn't have canceled a millions-generating event right?
These treads are stupid, cheal doesn't deserve to fight for a belt after losing a number one contender at a lower weight class.
Type R - Kalib Starnes was bad but not like this. Silva taunting Maia in Abu Dhabi was bad too.
Silva is my favorite fighter ever and always will be, but I always thought the Abu Dhabi thing was the worst thing ever.
kinson -PTM2020 -Hahahahahahahaha
This is pretty funny lol!!!
nick diaz did worse for the ufc and himself at the same tiem

Good call! Nick Diaz not showing up for press conferences, leaving everyone unsure if he'd show for the fight. That's right up there.
To cancel the live event will result in huge financial losses for Zuffa.
Significant damage has also been done on the Fox side with the UFC brand taking a real credibility hit. UFC was supposed to be ready for network television with a predictable product. They are going to have to make some changes to ensure something like this doesn't happen again, which will probably be good for fans of the sport.
Jones clearly bit the hand that feeds him harder than anyone else ever has. It will be interesting to see how that works out for him.
sighs Ill be that guy....the Judges
this is probably the worst... ticket sales are suffering as it is... with all the injuries you dont know if you're gonna get the card you paid for... now with this cancellation who's gonna invest in hotel rooms, flights, etc... when you dont even know if the event will take place.
cancelling this show is horrible for the UFC.
Tito Ortiz held the LHW title hostage while he was ducking Chuck Liddell for dear life.
The last fighter that sabotaged a main event was Nate Marquardt, and he was released.
Herb Dean stopping Tito / Shamrock fight was pretty bad :P
I'd say the biggest consistent negative impact on the UFC has been shit judging and occasionally reffing.
hellride - The last fighter that sabotaged a main event was Nate Marquardt, and he was released.
You're right. That's definitely same ballpark.
Nick Diaz, rampage, Jesse Taylor, junie browning, war machine,
Barnett beat randy for the hw belt, pissed hot, then bolted for Japan.
Still not sure how that fight stands as a win in the record books for barnett.
