The odds are not very good on Arlovski against such a dangerous opponent +210 or so, but Tuivasa hasn’t been out of the 1st round before in MMA and has not fought anywhere near the quality of opposition that a former UFC Champion in Arlovski has.
nope
Tai is fast and powerful and aggressive
Struve and Albini were tentative
Tai will go foward and blast him out of there

That's pretty much how I feel too, but if it goes past the 8 minute mark could get interesting. Andrei is world class.
This is AA's swan song, it's all over now baby blue,
1st rnd Out cold, let's go Tai!!
Tuivasa will win in a couple mins
AA gonna meerkat
Always take Andrei. He is easily a top 5 favorite of mine. Maybe I'm blinded by faith but I think he picks him apart and wins a decision or possibly wins with a late stoppage.
AA is supposed to lose. He’s made for Bam Bam. Puncher kicker. Not a grappler. Straight forward orthodox fighter. Suspect chin. Big name. Tuivasa is supposed to win.
I always root for the grizzled Vet in these situations.

Blinded by faith is right. This will be arlovskis final UFC fight.
Arlovski is always dangerous
Arlovski is bigger, longer, more athletic and more technical. His movement and range will frustrate Tai. If Arlovski fights smart and doesn’t get drawn into a gunfight, he can easily win. His sambo could also come in useful if he tries to take Bam Bam down and work a gameplan on the matt.
Of course, Arlovski’s chin is always a worry. But if he takes the Econoreem approach he should do ok.

When has his Sambo decided a fight? 40+ fights that started pre-Y2K and three submissions. A standard guillotine choke. A standard armbar and an achilles lock. He's fought PURE strikers like Kyle, Zentsov, Ngannou etc and didn't try to utlize his Sambo as a strategy to win.
Now he's fighting a young untested pure striker in Tuivasa..............he isn't going to reinvent himself this fight.
.................and I'll still be hoping he wins.
I’m picking him to win… a beating.
Andrei is a glass canon.
He can KO anyone on the right night, but he has to be willing to let his hands go, and cant handle any big shots.

I think Tai is a great striker but can be quite ‘loose’/sloppy sometimes and if it ends up in a tangle, AA has nice trips and stuff. I’m not suggesting he’s going to implement a takedown to sub plan but he has been known to get top position or reversals during messy scrambles. That could be a factor here if he avoids the KO standing.
Andrei’s kryptonite are heavy handed KO artists. His entire career, he’s been dismantled by heavy hitters. This is not a good look for him.

He armbared the great Dick Delaware in his UFC debut.

Makes the point of my post.

I like the “econoreem” term lol. I think so too, but that’s if the right Arlovski shows up. Sometimes he doesn’t seem like himself so I hope he’s motivated. I think his last run was the final, I just want to see the man exit the UFC without taking a ton of damage. The UFC makes a lot of these “young gun vs past prime veteran” and it almost always results in a sad, devastating KO for the young guy. I do agree that if Andrei can conserve and pick his shots he can definitely take Bam Bam into the later rounds and win.
Had to edit 3 times, fucking iPhones.
nope. Tai is one of my safer bets on the card actually.
