As a sport, it is among the purest and most respected of manly pursuits. but i can’t handle the inevitable arm snaps, gross. plus Devon is such an over-scary bro, he comes across like a genuine sadist.

I have never thought of Devon like that. He just uses psychology as part of his arsenal.
Psychological pressure, as well as physical, and tactical pressure.

He is very good at not giving up his hand, they always end up in worse position 
Arm breaks are not that common in pro matches.
Arm breaks happen when a puller doesn’t face their opponent. Pro pullers know how to avoid this.
