Today I have received e-mail from Eric. Those of who trains @ Toronto BJJ may have had chance to roll with him before he went to Japan presumably to teach English, but who knows what his motives were. :)

Anyways, allow me to share couple of passages from the said e-mail.

"Today there was a nova uniao tournament - all the schools -(4) come together and compete against each other. I defeated my first opponent by trapping him with an inverted triangle - and made him tap to an armbar thing :P it was more of a kimura tho..but his body was off the ground.. i then got a by the next round and won my third match by points. a couple of take downs etc :)" and,

"So i got GOLD and my BLUE belt!!!

That's right peeps. Eric is now Nova Uniao BLUE Belt.

Congrats Eric. Great Job!!! I could see that you were ready for the belt change when you came down here and trained for a couple of days, but I am sure it feels great to earn it on the mat. congrats once again, I am sure Wagnney wil be very happy to hear this.
