ATT's Kuivanen takes on Parke at Fight Festival 29

Top Finnish fighter Anton Kuivanen (13-4) will meet Ireland's Norman Parke (14-2) at Fight Festival 29 in Finland on January 31st. Very good fight, and a step up for Parke, who is only a young guy and has a bright future - good wrestling, top control and subs.

The card also features a great light-heavyweight Euro fight with Marcus Vanttinen (18-2) taking on Maro Perak (19-2-1) and then there's Sean Salmon vs. Mikko Rupponen.

More importantly, using google translate on the Fight Festival site, you get this little delight:

"Marcus Vänttinen shall Croatian stone fist Maro Perak and Mikko Rupponen seeking revenge of the U.S. UFC veteran Sean Salmonella."

CROATIAN STONE FIST FTW.

SEAN SALMONELLA FTL.

This will be a great fight. It's about time for Parke to take a step up in competition and Kuivanen will certainly fill that spot.

Salmonella sounds like bad business.

Rupponen injured his knee once again, so he's out

Ah, that sucks. Was hoping he'd fight, but it's still a strong card.

I was actually watching that this morning.Very cool fight - that mouse under Tim's eye was BAD.

Norman has now unfortunately had to withdraw from this one after sustaining a bad cut above the eye in training.

Ryan "Bones" Bixler (19-11) from Iowa, USA will step in for the injured Parke.

Thanx for posting. I just booked it for him on Tuesday, he leaves on Friday.

He's out of Team Quest in Cali with Hendo these days, we never updated his info.

Thanks for the info Keith. I'll update it to my blog.

no problemo. Is there gonna be any place to watch this in the states?

or a pbp?

NorthFromHere will be there, not sure if it's possible to run a PBP but he'll definitely have a report.

Yeah, I'll attend FF29 and post a report on the same night, or at least no later than the next day.
Fight Festival events are usually shown on the finnish TV week or two after the live event. Sometimes these vids end up on the trackers.

Awesome, I will check here for results then?

I'll post the report on my blog and add a link here.
You can find my blog and the event preview here:
