Sorry if someone has asked this already, but why the early 5pm start time? Are you guys trying to end the event at an early time or there are so many fights that it has to start that early? I don't want to miss any of the fights but I don't get off work until 5:30pm. :(
We want people to get in earlier so that they can get out earlier. Many of our fans and staff/judges/refs have kids. Maybe they leave the kids with a babysitter or mom&dad. The earlier start time allows them to pick up junior at a reasonable time, not midnight or 1am.
And I don't want to be cleaning up at midnight either. I'd rather everyone (myself included) be out for post-event parties, night clubs, etc.
Its hard to accomodate everyone perfectly. We think the 5pm time just works out a little better.
Officially added to Hard Times card:
Phil Baroni (10-10), coming off a few tough losses, will face Ron Verdadero (5-5) in a 175lb bout. Both guys are dropping to a new weight class. Toughest test for Ron...could be the crowning moment of a career that goes back to the 'Super Brawl' days. And this is a critical fight for Baroni, which may determine his future in MMA. He really can't afford a loss. If he did, it would be devastating to him. Ron is no push-over, so I'm kinda interested in how this goes down.
