i forgot to add my head striking/muay thai coach marcus Marianelli also came up under bart vale and use to to a ton of catch wrestling and shoot fighting. so I also train catch holds and neck cranks & leg locks with him.
Awesome KO!
Garv - Awesome KO!
Even better KO of Don Draper
Great to see these Ohio boys getting noticed. NAAFS puts on a heck of a show and we're starting to see some of the talent make the leap.

flawlessvictory -Thanks for saving me the time Brian lol.Donald Draper -NAAFS -Donald Draper - Rogers is a great guy, hope to see him get a shot in the UFC soon, he won't win any titles (as long as he stays with the Cleveland camp) but we can hope! Are you implying that his current camp/gym is holding him back from winning a title? Im not a member at Strong Style (that gym in cleveland) but I can assure you the gym isn't an issue. Marcus Marinelli is one of the best trainers in the sport today and id put string style in among the elite Mma facilities in the country. Miocic, Lozano, Petz, Eye, and Rogers all came out of that camp and a bunch more that will be heard from soon. Just because YOU havent heard of them doesn't mean they are some backyard hick gym inside a barn. Trust me Ohio has an abundance of A level talent and A level gyms that's are going to explode onto the mma scene.
Lozano's fall as predicted long ago was going to be his lack of ground game and it was something the gym never addressed as an option B. Then the KO happened. Now he's in Arizona.
Stipe will be a solid fighter.
It is a GREAT gym for newcomers to the sport but they can only be taken so far.
Rogers will make the UFC and exciting fights but would like to see him get some high level training in when he gets there.
They need high level wrestling and BJJ there.
Just some facts or advice is all.
i appreciate the support but you dont have all the facts, and actually way way off in some areas. Please take time to read all of my responses.
1. chris trains in New mexico with greg jackson. Greg jackson has his own hybrid jiu-jitsui game, i dont know who is there true bjj coach. chris left for his own reasons and wanted a change in enviornment. I dont know who jackson's submission specialist are, becasue they are all pretty well rounded fighters.
Tim kenedy for instance is a a very good wrestler and has subbed a few guys. other than that who are there ground experts? not melvin guillard for sure. not clay guida? guida takes guys down and usally doenst hold them, and he wins by frenzy. not brian stann, i like stann but he gets taken down a lot. thge champ jon nones is a freak and has won by guillotine or front choke twice. Id say he just well rounded and a great wrestler. Those are just a few guys of the top my head. id say Tim kenedy is there best ground fighter and he dove at robbie lawlers legs all fight becasue on the feet he was getting killed. Hes a very good there and he won a decesion over robbie.
2. A) Do you think we should hire bjj black belt under someone legit like seven time world champ Rodrigo Comprido Mederios ? Because we did, only we hired him at strong style in 2005 maybe earlier , I didnt start untill 2006 there. Before pablo was with Comprido he was with saulo and ribeiro Xande Riberio in his hometown of toldeo ohio. old school ohio guys will remember them having a school there which is now ran by black belt chris Blanke.
2. B) *** also if you remeber Diego Sanchez left greg jackson for a time.... who did he train with??? the anweser is Saulo and Xande Riberio in San diego just saying he went to see good bjj guys when he left greg jackson. thats pretty weird if greg jackson has great bjj, I dont know who the striking guys is with Saulo & Xande is.
2. C ) Pablo castro is a black belt under Comprido. Pablo is a Pan am champ and also wrestled at the NCAA divison 2 level at the univerity of Findlay. Pablo has the collegeiate wrestling experince that most bJJ guys dont. ill post his full resume when we I get it.
also in my second pro fight I was taken down early in the fight and I triangled the guy
3. I also train JUDO. did you see the UCHI MATA that I hit the two time world BJJ champ with? I spralled out and could of stopped it there but I gave them angle to try and finish just so I could launch him. I landed in half guard, scooted up to get postion and dropped 1-2 strikes and let him to break him mentally. that was the seocnd time I stuffed his take downs. Its mentally draining and promotes anixety when you take someone out of there comfort zone. If he wasnt such a high level guy I would stayed on top and ground and pounded. I also threw alexander shelmeanko when we fought back on october and I double legged him another time. I use my wretling and judo for more of a defense. I know how to wrestle and I train wrestling but I train judo for a edge.
here is my judo coach Ghazarios Grihoryan BIO , tell me if you think hes legit? Ohh besides him I also train with Dr. Rhadi Ferguson off and on I am flying him up to mimick Bruno Santos. Rhadi is four time us open national champ and a olympian, hes also a bjj back belt an judo black belt of course. I train with Rhadi off and on I will admit.

If you dont like Strong style just say so, im ok with that. Not everyone is fan of our guys.
However do not say we need to hire this guy or that guys. I travel and train with people to help me or I bring them in to me. I cover all basis in my training, to say that I dont is a asumption and a in correct one. Im a educated teaching professional, and im finishing my master's in spprts science coaching and leadership. That has nothing to with mma, but I said that to say this " im not stupid and I know i must be good an well rounded in everything I do to be sucessfull. I cross my T's and dot my I's. If I get taken down and submitted it will be becasue i made a mistake or several mistakes......IT WILL NOT BE FOR A LACK OF PREPERATION!!! I alwyas prepare properly and its up to me to preform when the bell rings.
Thanks for you thoughts, but with all do respet, do your homework and check your facts or ask me striaght up what I do or who i am involved with. Just becasue you dont see it , it it doesnt mean its not there.

Donald I understand why you believe what you do but trust me when I say that Strong Style is going to be considered among the top camps in all of mma in the very near future. they have the coaches and facilities in place to cover all bases. Don't take my word for it, just check back with me 12 months from now and I'm betting you'll agree.
I'll add one more thing . Lima is a bigger 170 than Lozano and lima I Bjj black belt as well. Chris doesn't win the fight by wrestling Lima, he wins that fight by being more technical and being evasive with his strikes. Not by holding lima down.
Dude is bringing knee bombs in the cage and knowledge bombs on the UG.

Cool guys don't look at their knockouts
They knock people out and walk away
Who's got time to look at their knockouts
Cool guy's errands that they have to walk to
Keep walking, keep kneeing
Don't look back, keep on walking
Keep Strutting, slow motion
The more you ignore it the cooler it looks.
