Master Bader lost to a washed up Tito, Lyoto wrecked his life, and Glover....how is this guy going to compete with Cormier. Cormier said it best the easiest paycheck in the lhw division. Cormier will dominate him and make him think twice about stepping into the octagon again.

I'm no expert, but does the Wrestling Cormier plays (grinding clinch work, undertook against the cage) trump Baders shoot style wrestling? I don't think Bader has much for him on the feet either.

Bader is primed to unleash. We all saw him at the presser. Not once have we seen this man in such top form and pumped for a fight. His arms were practically ripping out of his button up. Scholler tried acting hard by stepping between him and DC, but you know he thought better of it. I commend Bader for not stepping up to the podium and smacking the fake tooth out of DC's mouth. But that's the kind of guy Bader has been this whole time. A fresh talker that backs his skills up in the cage all while keeping it cool and classy. It's getting hot out in AZ and AKA knows what's cooking. It's Bader and Dollaway hitting at the grindstone, getting Darth ready to unleash a beating never before seen in the octagon. If I were DC I would shut my mouth and pray. I would play the humble, submissive role and hope that Bader comes in soft on fight night. Because any additional talking is just fuel for the hemi. I think it's obvious what's going on here. We have a new LHW king in the making right before our eyes.
Bader will never beat Cormier.
However, his performance at the post fight presser will likely move more PPVs for Cormier's first defense than any other opponent outside of Jones.

He is on the longest winning streak in the LHW top 10 and at 4 straight is twice that of any one else in the top 10. He is the only top 5 fighter besides Rashad not coming off a loss. I am not a big fan of his but he is as good as the diviision has to offer right now.

And when he lost to Tito, he joined a group that includes, among many others, Aaron Rosa, Jake O'Brien, Sean McCorkle, Diego Sanchez, and even Lyoto Machida - in that he started 10-0 or better, and after losing for the first time, lost next time out as well.
This is just one of these "trends" that every sport has.

Ryan Bader is the #1 contender is the current LHW landscape. He has more top 10 wins than Gus (whose only top 10 win is Shogun) and he was already scheduled to fight DC.
It's a good stay-busy fight for the current champ as Jon Jones gets his shit together.
If and when this fight is booked, I just pray they couple it with another title fight. Because goddamn, DC-Bader isn't selling no PPVs.
