Former UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao fights in Brazil for the first time since he signed with the UFC, vs. Mitch Gagnon at UFC Fight Night 58 on Dec. 20.

"Fighting in Brazil for the first time is amazing," said Barao to Guilherme Cruz for MMAFighting. "I’m well trained, doing an excellent camp. Every fight is important. Just to have the opportunity to go in there and show my work is amazing. I’m really happy with the opportunity to fight here."

Barao's real goal though is to fight for the title in his home country, but he doesn't think division champion T.J. Dillashaw would bite.

"I think he would crap his pants," said Barao. "Fighting in the United States is easy. I want to see him fighting me in Brazil. It’s completely different.

"Dillashaw is talking too much crap. If we fight again, you can be sure it will be completely different,. When we fight again, he will see the real champion. I don’t like to make jokes, talk trash. I like to show my work inside the cage, show the best Renan Barao possible. He can enjoy that belt for now, because it’s coming back to Brazil soon."

Dillashaw is expected to fight former division champion Dominick Cruz early next year, and Barao thinks Cruz takes it.

"I believe Dominick wins," said Barao. "He has more weapons, and I think he wins."

And Barao wants a rematch with Dilashaw so bad he would pass up a title shot for it, should Cruz be champion.

"I’d rather fight Dillashaw first," said Barao. "It would be a big fight. Fighting Dominick later would be great. I just want to fight the best and bring the title back to Brazil.

"My goal is to fight for the title again. If (Dillashaw) has the title, I hope I can fight him as soon as possible. That’s my goal."

Tj would probably welcome the experience Phone Post 3.0

Lol.

Remember when he had his second chance? Phone Post 3.0

I like barao and actually think he would win a rematch with tj
But think it's really stupid trash talking a guy who just beat the shit out if you haha Phone Post 3.0

Make weight, then mouth off. Better yet don't mouth off at all. Phone Post 3.0

Barao....come on man Phone Post 3.0

Well, the belt is in the US for now, so get in that plane and make weight. And fighting in the US is easier right?

Partially true.

Americans always complain about going to Brazil or Europe for their fights and how it affects their performance but dont seem to realise thats the way it has always been for non-American fighters.

Oh so you lost because you fought in the usa? Lmao. "Its easy to fight in the usa" oh is it. Then why did you lose there! If they do fight again. The champ fights on US soil. He doesn't deserve a choice of fighting in brazil if hes not the champ. Why do Brazilians make so many excuses lol. Hes just trying to play a mind game in getting tj to fight him on his own turf. Nice try guy Phone Post 3.0

I hope edgar or connor take that belt from aldo, at thia point i dont care who it is as long as long as the belt leaves brazil. And i think cruz takes his belt back, then starches barao and sends him packing to 145. Phone Post 3.0

Doesn't help that whole loose testing stereotype when you get beat and then say things like this... Phone Post 3.0

Fucking LOL. Dude gets dominated and KO'd, then badly misses weight and has his rematch cancelled. What's Barao's thought process?

"I'll demand a rematch in Brazil!"

Pathetic in so many ways Phone Post 3.0

I hope Barao gets the belt back. T.J. is annoying. Little Doug looking fucker.

Brazilians gonna brazil Phone Post 3.0

One thing you never do is talk about another man's uncontrollable bowel movements. He crossed the line for sure.

Dont know, Barao was completely dominated its not like he was hanging with TJ. He wasnt at all.

Dillashaw via bathtub

Damn don't understand the hate. This is what you get fired up about? A little comment about fighting in his home country? Or is it his belief that he can beat TJ Phone Post 3.0

Barao just wants to juice up for the fight.

Nowadays fighting in the US is tough. You'll get caught TRT'ing,HGH'ing,...using hydrochortisone cream....
