I don't know if its just me, but watching the prelims for strikeforce on HDNET I realized just how awesome those two truly are together. Its so refreshing to hear their chemistry... Rogan and Goldberg are getting old with Goldbergs repeated lines, and I can't bare listening to Mauro with his cheesy comparisons that he makes during fights and he always seems like he's lost. I don't know but IMO I could listen to Bas' knowledge and accent, and some of the lines the voice puts out their are just pure classics. They are the only team of commentators that know whats up at all times.

Rogan + Voice = the future.
I like Bas Rutten the most, along with Miletich.
Bas is the only fighter that can get away with talking about him self.
Frank Trigg, Mauro Ranello, and Gus Johnson are the worst.

Because aside from his knock down choke out of Kongo, he has done nothing in that cage worth wanting to watch. I'd rather hear him commentate than watch him fight to be honest. Mir did make Lesnar look like a fool, but everyone knows he got his in their next meeting. And as far as him killing Lesnar in two interviews I wouldn't know, for the sheer fact that I cant listen to his arrogant interviews. He thinks he is gods gift, yet you think if he really was God would at least let him know what weight to fight at... Your boy Mir can't even make up his mind. And Lesnar F'ed with his head so much he was bulking up, then he was losing weight, then he said he might go to light heavy... So while you say he "killed lesnar in 2 interviews" it sounds like Lesnar shook up Mir big time.
Oh man ... How can you like the voice? His puns are ridiculous and makes him sound like as much of a hack as Goldie. His prewritten sayings are silly. "more knocks than a jehova's whitness" .... cmon ... really?
The voice is the best play by play guy out there for sure. I wish he did the full Strikeforce events, because Mauro seems to be getting worse and worse. And I used to not mind Mauro.
And Bas.... Bas was great. But he has lost his announcing skills it seems. I just don't enjoy his style anymore. Combine him with The Voice, and it's almost too much personality.
I'll admit mauros pride commentary was good, but now he is trying way to hard and his sayings and puns are waaaaaaay over the top. Its obnoxious. I think Voices puns are corny as all hell but you can tell he takes a lot of time to think those out and they are usually pretty funny.

Its probably because he was only a temporary fill in for the prelims... its not like he is a permanent commentator on strikeforce, I'm sure if he was he'd be just as good as back in the day.

I think his insight on the fight itself is enough.
So what if he doesn't write down every single STAT for each fighter. He's a legend and his words are $$$ !
