It's stupid. First of all the tony fight is a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier fight for conor. So why wouldn't dana want to give conor a shot at the title he can actually win. The khabib fight will still be there.
If Tony wins, then conor fights tony, beats him, then the khabib fight is still there but also opens up many other $$$$ options.
Plus the fans want khabib/tony fight. Maybe the casuals dont care but there still a good size core of fans who want that fight.
