Would WWE wrestler’s, Becky Lynch, armbar work in an MMA fight? I lot of the submissions used in pro wrestling are what are known as show holds, as in they are holds that have a low probability of working in a legitimate fight, however, some of them will work in a real fight, or, they can be made to work in a real fight if you tweak them.
Becky Lynch does this armbar which she calls the Dis-arm-her, and the way that she applies and is able to transition into it makes me think that it is a hold that could be pulled off in a legitimate fight. I’m not saying that it is necessarily a high probability hold, I’m just saying that it is probably not one of the lowest probability holds either, as in that it would be more possible to pull off in a real fight than some show holds/moves typically used in pro wrestling would be to pull off.
Anyway, here’s a video of Becky Lynch applying the Dis-arm-her. Check it out and give your thoughts.
“Pat Miletich did something similar in his UFC title fight against John Allesio”
Yeah, I’ve been an MMA fan since 1994 and I’ve watched a shitload of fights over the years, and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that Pat Miletich fight, and although I don’t recall that particular finish, I thought that I’d seen something like the Becky Lynch armbar in MMA, but I could not think of any examples which is why I posted the question.
Becky Lynch has a ton of charisma, and is a hell of a ring worker. I wonder how well she’d do if she trained for MMA.
WWE should pay a lot of money to bring in Conor McGregor to participate in an angle with her. Both are Irish and have similar personas. Would be great. “The Notorious” Conor McGregor meets the Irish “Lass Kicker” Becky Lynch.

The space she gives when switching position is not practicle. Sure the armbar can work but its inefficent in terms of torque needed and getting there is pointless when you can finish with legs in. In sohrt - its for show
