Belfort cut 30 pounds

Prepare2Die -  Elburrogrande - you're awesome Phone Post
no

vitor gasses as it is, cutting that much, if not done right, will kill his cardio

Every time I go to the bathroom, I call it "cutting weight"

they dont cut that kinda of weight in 2 weeks. they do it over 2 or 3 months. so he should be just fine

My friend over the course of a YEAR CUT 100 pounds LOL

See, when i hear he "cut" 30 lbs, to me it sounds like he just sweat off 30 lbs of water weight in 2 days or so. That sounds brutal. But if he just lost the weight over camp, then it isn't really a weight "cut". If he did just lose the weight over camp, then he'll be fine. If he actually is cutting that much weight, that can't be good for his body. I guess i would like clarification, because i've read both on this post.

Once again I'll reply he LOST the weight in camp with the help of Mike Dolce. This morning via Twitter he said he doesn't need to CUT anymore weight.

I know in one of the training clips posted by Legends it showed Mike Dolce making his meals for him so im sure he will be fine. Dolce knows his shit.

You don't seem to understand what weight cutting is. My guess is you have never done it. I walk around 152lbs but I took a fight at 125. Over the course of a month I made weight. Did I not cut any weight? that makes no sense. Even thought I gradually cut the weight, I still had a 27lb weight cut. I actually walked in to the fight at 148lbs the next day.

I think you may be the one who doesnt understand what weight cutting is. Weight cut is the weight you lose starting a day or so before the weigh-ins (which is mostly water). If you walked into the fight at 148 and a month before you weighed 152 then you only lost 4lbs and you cut 23lbs. Since it basically put all the weight back on when you re-hydrated I would agree that it was in fact a "weight cut". I What strikes me odd is it took you a month to basically dehydrate, which cant be good to walk around that long in a state of dehydration.

i've seen a dude on biggest loser cut 240lbs.

This is what online forums get you to believe. Im sure other fighters on here will vouch for me that weight cutting begins the moment you start to lose weight if done correctly. To answer your question, I was drinking a minimum of 1 gallon of water a day up until the day of the weigh ins. I only went 24 hours without water. With proper eating, water, and glycerin, I put on 23lbs by the time I stepped in to my fight. I was back in the 150's 2 days later. I guarantee you that vitor will be back over 200lbs by the time the fight happens tomorrow night.

ur a moran burro

Got nothing to do with online forums. This is the way its been before anybody knew what the internet was. I have been doing combat sports since 1984. I have cut weight plenty of times and I dont really get what your trying to make of your "weight cut".<br /> The only way you gained 23 pounds in 2 days was because you were dehydrated, its simple biology.

elburrogrande -
Massa - Sounds about right for a 185 weight cut.

this

Yep, considering fighters diet down from 215, then the week of the fight they should be 195-200, and then just cut the rest of it through sweat.

No, I've been doing this along time. Gradually losing weight is FAR different from a cut. A cut is the last couple of days before weigh-ins.

This thread happens every time the is a big UFC.

Dieting vs. cutting. It's different.

If this is true then you should know that hydration is not the only factor in a weight cut. For instance there is a lot of human waste that the body can hold at any given time. anywhere between 5-25 lbs. This can also be used to "cut" weight.
