649k viewers and 0.2 in adults 18-49.
Any particular reason why sometimes the numbers come out quicker than others?
Not bad considering it wasn't a sexy card with title fights.

depends on when the event takes place. Friday night and saturday night numbers on cable are delayed.
didnt jones sonnen pull 550k or something? For a semi low profile card, pretty good right?

550k ppv buys... not viewers.
Mmalogic I really appreciate your insight and contribution in regards to the ratings for both ufc and bfc . I was wondering do you work in the television industry?

this. btw are you really ariel? if so I'm a big fan
What's your best guess as to what appears to be relatively unpredictable Bellator ratings?
There doesn't seem to be any real rhyme or reason as to who/what motivate the audience to tune in or not?

actually some predictability is transpiring with the friday night slot
1st show: 660k
2nd show: 700k
3rd show: 650k.
it's only 3 shows in but we can see an audience of around 675k which is alot better than i thought they would do on fridays. It's not as atrocious as the sub 500k they pulled on wednesday and saturday.
They still have alot of work to do but they arent in as bad a position to do it. They averaged 793k when they had the 10pm slot on thursdays with the tna lead in but it almost always dwindled down to around 675 by the time the main event came in. So they have an audience of around 675k (assuming nothing else is on tv to take them away).
They need to build on that because they are still below spikes average. They can stay afloat longer on a friday night than a wednesday night with 700k but they need to be above 900k. Reruns that lead into bellator are pulling 900k to 1m plus with 0.4 and 0.5's in adults 18-49.
From 650k to 700k it's plausible to build an audience of 900k plus as you improve your roster and your fights... but you have to spend money to do it.
The challenge will be trying to build that audience while the UFC is increasing it's event output (13 ufc shows announced for brazil alone in 2014... and alot of them will be airing for free in the United states).
The other question is what's the ceiling on a friday night and can you get your demo numbers on a friday night. Id like to see what a stacked bellator card on a friday night would pull.
Ya I love Bellator on Fridays on Spike. Basically the perfect spot for me personally. I will never miss it.
Bellator rocks! Great fights
Those are nice numbers for MMA broadcasting. Good for the guys over at Bellator, they work hard to put on a good production. Bright future for them and their fighters
Not too shabby. They made the right call by going with that Friday night slot.
