Latest of what I am hearing

A deal between the two organizations will more than likely cross a finish line

What I am hearing is that Bellator will be handling 10 overseas shows

PFL is also struggling to reach an agreement with their ESPN deal

Their is pressure coming from a lot of different angles which is why the conversations between the two have been “turbulent”

Could it be because UFC is on ESPN and PFL is definitely overshooting on numbers to make up for great contracts like Francis that they’ll never make their money back on otherwise?

I legit don’t know the answer to that

I was always shocked to see the PFL on ESPN to begin with

  • I was also told that it was a paid licensing deal, but the person that said it did NOT have intimate knowledge of the contract

More mma is good for everyone, it’s interesting watching this shake out

The one thing that is certain

The current MMA landscapE will be different 12 months from now

Definitely a lot in the pipeline. Change for sure.

I’m not against more MMA, just not a fan of the PFL model personally. I don’t think seasons (or teams…RIP IFL) work for fighting. It’s a bit weird.

I suppose it’s a throwback to tournaments but it’s too drawn out and the point system doesn’t work compared to the standard knockout tournament format.

I hope that ONE makes more moves, they’ve been nothing short of fantastic the past year.

Who is the financial backer of the PFL??? They seem to spend a lot and I question how much money they bring in.

I mean, LytesOut has even said they basically pay to be on ESPN.

So it’s either the laundry machine or just some nameless dude that fucking LOVES fighting and has fuck tons of money and doesn’t care.

Kind of like Saudi gazillionaires buying sports shit for a laugh.
