I've heard good things about these belts and have even been referred to their site by friends but have yet to see one in person. Care to elaborate on why you believe these are the best belts?
I say they are the best because of their quality craftsmanship. You can order them firm or soft. I haven't seen the soft version but the belt is made very well.

You can get them embroidered and now even with the ranking sleeve for BJJ. I haven't seen the ones for $20 but thats what an Atama belt costs. They are expensive compared to other belts but if you are a black belt then you will be wearing it for a very long time. They also can be ordered with degree markings.

Jeff W - thick belts suck. they come untied all the time. plus, I want my shit to look worn when I've put in mat time.

Untied is the reason for wearing thick belts. One less handle to grab when rolling. Classmates can't do a prank on your belt and tie nasty knots into it. Finally, LMAO @ wanting your belt to look worn. You think maybe your instructor will promote you cuz you're belt looks worn?

Is that what I said faggot? I don't give a shit about promotions. I just wonder why these guys always want the thickest belt that will never wear down.. The point? So your opponent can't grab your tied belt?

Dumb. Might as well go no gi if you dont want your opponents to have handles.

you have faulty logic my friend. if the belt is thicker it makes it harder to grab. it isn't about not wanting your opponent to have handles but more about making it harder for them to use the handle against you.

an example would be the smash pass with one hand grabbing the belt, which you then use to take the back. for the same reason people prefer a thick collar ( makes it harder to get choked) they prefer a thick belt.

using your logic I could just use an old cloth karate gi to roll in and get that thing wrapped around my neck like a noose.

Well I guess it's true that if your belt comes untied & falls off, your opponent can't grab it but it also makes it easier for him to grab your gi tails and lapels.

true, but your gi tail and lapels aren't wrapped around the core of your body and your hips.

True but I can do more with the gi lapels & tails than I can with the belt. As long as he is wearing pants I can still control his core and hips by gripping his pants at the waist in the back or front.

lol @ your name calling. You don't huh? That's why you want your belt to look "worn". There are any good sweeps with a tied belt being it's around your hips where most of your pressure comes from.

Dumb? Maybe. Is it advantageous for your belt to get untied in the middle of a match? Definitely.

remember to give a review on it!

I have been studying the best quality belts available for a while.

Before reading on,i do realise it's possible to buy a $2 Belt and many people will be happy with one,and it will do it's job well.

But in BJJ we tend to keep our belts a lot longer than all other Martial Arts and they go through a lot of wear and tear during their life. It's also nice to pass on your old belt to a lower grade you have helped or are good mates with.

The following Belts are the best in the World. They are handmade, and i've put them in order of quality in my opinion.

1.Eosin Panther-Handmade in U.S.A.

2.Kataaro-Handmade in U.S.A.

For Non BJJ Belts (without ranking band)

1.Tokaido - Handmade in Japan

2. Shureido-Handmade in Okinawa

Best Quality BJJ Belts that are not handmade (in my opinion)
