Best strikers to emulate

Wouldn’t that depend on your body type, athleticism, abilities, reason you’re learning the striking art and skills you already possess?  

If the answer to my question is no, I’d say Dougie.  

I like to call my style, “Flailing-Muppet.”

Come on now. Dougie is a Shawn Tompkins guy…their stand up is no joke. 

Tompkins trained under Bas Rutten for a long time and they were very close.

Hominick has that liver shot down pat.

Heck, when Stout fought Lauzon, Lauzon said he could hear what Tompkins was calling out for Sam to throw and just couldn’t do anything about it.

All the guys in the gym are based in the Dutch style that Bas Rutten uses.

Vitor was the best of both worlds. Amazing counter striker that had excellent accuracy with a hardcore blitzkrieg style as well. I would think somebody with the speed he had could emulate his style perfectly.

For a general answer it would have to be someone with perfect fundamentals.

I can take bits of pieces of everyones game to incorporate into my own but I think you also have to find out what kind of fighter you are or how your body and conditioning may limit you to certain styles. Im 6’2 230-240lbs. I cant fight like Saenchai outside of playful sparring. I get too tired and Im not quick enough. So I have gravitated toward styles that can work for me.
