Best X-mas present you ever got?

Best present ever?..... Ask JHR what his best present ever was!! Great story!!

All I ever wanted for Christmas were my two front
teeth. I still got'em, so I'm a happy camper.

Thats beautiful Wayne!

lol @portuguese...

thats awesome Rowan. Happy holidays!

Ya I know, thanks Jeff. lol

But seriously, the best thing(s) I ever received when
I was a wee laddie was a set of Rock'em-Sock'em
Robots (my brothers and I actually), my first hockey
team jacket, new skates, and a shit-load of hockey cards (which most likely included the likes of Orr, Hull, Mahovelich, Beleveau and the likes), and I used them all in a card game we played by throwing them against a wall to see who could come closer to the wall - the closest to the wall would win all the cards that were on the floor - with the corners of the cards bent and all! If only I had of known that some of those cards (if in excellent condition today) would be worth thousands. I cry every time I think about it.

Great story Rowan!!

My best Christmas present ever was a Batmobile. I think I was 5/6 and it was one you got in and peddled. Fuck did I ever beat the shit out of the baseboards around the house that day...LOL!!

"Best present ever?..... Ask JHR what his best present ever was!! Great story!!"

Thanks BB2 for bringing back my pain.... lol

Let's preface this by saying my dad is the biggest practical joker... EVER....

I'll leave those stories for later...

Christmas 1982 (I think)...
Waiting to open my gifts

(Gee mom and Dad... SMOKE ENOUGH ??)

Best Gift ??

VIC 20 computer system ! (lol)

WORST GIFT ???

My dad wrapping a big old frozen piece of dog shit in a box with the label saying "To Jason From Hank" (My dog)

(Picture taken imediately after open SAID box...)

Fuckers....

Best gift the following year ??

Karate gi with BLACK pants...

Yeah you heard it fools, BLACK pants... Only the prodigy's got black pants..

The birth of Couch Fu...

Awesome news Rowan...all the best my man.

You mean The Commodore Vic 20 computer???

That was the sh!t at the time. Did it come with the tape deck so you could store the memory files? (remember everyone that is reading this, this was x-mas 1983 which means it was before the floppy disc era)

Colecovision anyone???

It DID come with the tape deck....

:)

"Press play on tape"

waits 20 minutes for crappy game to load..

Load crappygame ,8,1

I remember buying Compute! magazine and typing code for 3 hours just for some silly little program... lol

"...typing code for 3 hours just for some silly program."

I know what you mean. I found this book at the local flea market (around '92). It had all the programing codes to create games for the CV20. I found the CV20 in the storage room, rehooked it up and I tried doing the first game of the book but gave up when it wasn't completed after a week. My cousin (a brilliant mad computer scientist) finished it for me. I was soooo disapointed. It took almost 2 weeks to complete the programing and it ended up being some lame fishing game where the fish were just little red dots..LOL.

I had a Vic 20. Remember that cheap rip off of Pac Man?

Greg, you got mail.

I played a cheap Mexican rip off of Pac-man called "circle-eater"

Thanks to everyone for their well-wishes!

Best xmas Gift

Thats a hard one.(1) Would be a Noma GT snowracer sled I got when I was 12 years old. Its a wonder I didnt die the next day cause anyone who has lived or visited Kingston and seen Old Fort Henry and the hill it stands on must dream of tobaggoning down.... geez who wouldve thought you could go so fast without a car, picture the snowdisk scene with Chevy Chase National Lampoon's Xmas vacation.

(2) Was my first home computer with cable modem and internet access December 24th 2000. Ive never paid for porn since. Also met so many wonderful people through it like Portugese2002 and Not Lettuce

Dougie congrats on your wife being home for xmas and god bless everyone this holidays.

Greg Compton, Kingston, Ontario

Merry xmas everyone

Also I think my best give was also in 1982!

And I also lived in Nova Scotia at the time!

I just received the best X-Mas gift eva. My younger brother and his wife made scrapbooks for me and my older brother chronicaling my dad's life. My dad passed away this year and x-mas was not a priority on my list as it brings back memories etc...

But this scrapbook was the "BEST EVA". It brought me to tears and I couldn't say thanks enough.

I actually received several "BEST EVA'S" today. I got 2 great brothers, a great girlfriend who compromises everyday for my love of jiu jitsu, 2 great sister in laws, a loving mother, and 3 great nephews.

It unfortunately took me getting the scrapbook to be thankful for family.

I also have great friends at the club, who have the same passion as me for jiu jitsu.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.

WILEY
