                    <p>In the past week BJ&nbsp;Penn vs. Rory MacDonald was at best delayed when the Canadian caught a spinning elbow, and received a massive cut.</p>

Michael Bisping too was cut over the eye last week, but luckily it was not as severe - The Count needed "only" six stitches, vs. MacDonald's 38. Michael Bisping, in training for the same UFC 152 card on September 22 that MacDonald hopes to reschedule to, shrugged off the injury.

Bisping will have to be careful now though, that's a portion of training where he'll have to take a lot of caution.

  according to firas it wasnt a spinning elbow..it was a spinning backfist...but i guess somehow when the backfist was thrown the elbow got under rory's headgear and cut his upperbrow

Head gear is OK for striking sparring, but not for MMA sparring or grappling.

Really sucks when fights are cancelled due to cuts though.

This is no big deal for any grown man.
I'm actually a little surprised the UG news even included his statements like one would require pro Mma toughness to endure such an inconvenience.
