BJ Penn just said he is lined up to Fight against GSP. Then Hughes...
Then, he'll move to 185lbs and fight Rich Franklin.
Thoughts..?

Getting by St. Pierre and Hughes ain't gonna be easy.
i agree with LL and i'll add that beating Franklin won't be easy either...in fact i'll be so bold as to say it won't happen...there...
GSP over Penn.
GSP over Hughes.
GSP = WW Champion.
Rich Franklin is a WAYS away. but I wish Penn luck!
It won't be an easy road for sure, but I wouldn't bet against BJ.
PS. BJ PENN SHOULD HAVE TO WIN 2 FIGHTS BEFORE HE GETS ANY CHANCE AT GSP...
GSP SHOULD GET HIS CHANCE AT HUGHES BEFORE GSP vs PENN or PENN vs Hughes...
GO GSP!
I think GSP vs Penn is a waste of good future match ups. Plus it's pretty dick on Penn's part to win the title then abandon it to move up to 185. Sounds like something he would do.
considering BJ did well vs Ryoto, the same Ryoto that knocked Rich out, i like his chances vs anyone @ 185 lbs or less in the UFC
but i agree...he shouldnt be fighting GSP first, GSP deserves his shot at the title , jesus hes already fought 2 #1 contender fights , he shouldnt have to fight another
Best of luck to GSP.
Sooner or later the UFC will run out of guy's to protect Matt before GSP gets his shot.
Poor move. First of all GSP should be fighting Hughes. BJ should be fighting Karo. And BJ should NOT look past GSP on any terms. GSP is as solid as they come at WW. I think BJ is top 5 P4P guys in the world, but he will be in a WORLD of hurt against Franklin. Franklin's reach is just way too long, and he'd keep BJ away from even getting a chance to clinch for a takedown.
1) BJ would loose 2 GSP, then GSP will go on to beat hughes.
2) If BJ did manage to beat GSP, Hughes im certain will beat him.
3) As for franklin sorry but i believe BJ would get a beat down, imo franklin is on another level.
"I think GSP vs Penn is a waste of good future match ups."
Agreed!
"considering BJ did well vs Ryoto"
Surviving is not "doing well." He did not have Lyoto in trouble at any time during the fight.
I don't think Penn will get past Hughes. If he fights Franklin, he may survive the duration, but he'll look a lot like Tanner did by the time the final bell rings.
BJ cannot take Rich down and does not have the power to hurt him standing. But I still applaud Penn for running toward challenges, instead of away from them.
Uh, so right after being given another chance at "his" title in the UFC, he is announcing his intention to immediately abandon it for another weight class if he wins it again? Thus leaving the UFC once again with a so-called "paper champion" at 170?
Great idea, and I'm sure Zuffa is thrilled.
"Surviving is not "doing well." He did not have Lyoto in trouble at any time during the fight."
Nor did Lyoto have BJ in trouble at any time.
If he did win the WW title, and moved up to MW, couldn't he keep both titles and alternately defend them? Or is this against the UFC rules. Is boxing this way also, or can you hold two weight class belts at the same time?
If he beats all 3 he will have his name carved in stone.
lol at this
You GSP jockers need to get back on your meds. I like the kid, he is a pheniminal and exciting fighter but he had his shot and he lost in the first round. He is on a roll now but he doesn't just get to keep fighting Hughes until he wins no matter how bad you want it. What better way for GSP to prove he deserves a second chance than beating the guy who subbed Matt in one round? I like this matchup and any talk of Matt Hughes being protected is a load a bull.
If Matt's being protected, then Matt has no idea it's happening. He's way to competitive to knowingly agree to it. Penn's going nowhere - and why not bring Lil' Evil back into the mix why we're at it?!
Peace
Penn is getting greedy for someone who's yet to take the first step in any direction. I still think he's taking on too much too soon and yet to prove he's deserving of anything since his departure.
Peace
