BJ Penn calls out Franklin

"MMARADIO.COM doesn't exist"
Damn, I actualy did type that didn't I..?

Sorry guys. MMAWEEKLY.com

haha.

"I think GSP vs Penn is a waste of good future match ups. Plus it's pretty dick on Penn's part to win the title then abandon it to move up to 185. Sounds like something he would do."

shut up Matt~!

You guys kill me remember when he was suppose to fight hughes you all said hughes would win Penn would not take him down,

Randy Coulture was the only guy to say how strong Penn was while trainning with him.

BJ is one of my favorite fighters because he's adamant about fighting the best, even if it requires moving up a weight class or two or three. No other fighter in the sport has that trait.

Sorry bro, but Kazushi Sakaraba coined that "trait"...and better then BJ could ever imagine to.

Nah, Sakuraba fights whoever Pride tells him to fight. He's said that in many interviews. I give him tons of respect for doing that, but it's not the same as wanting to.

GSP should fight HUghes and he will beat him.

BJ should Fight Karo. BJ should win a JD

BJ and Hughes will then have to fight. If BJ wins, he gets a crack at GSP.

If Hughes win, Hughes need to fight another fight or two before getting a rematch with GSP.

I would love to see all three defeat Penn!

I don't think he'll get past GSP let alone Hughes (or Franklin for that matter).

lol BJ STUGGLED with a completely shot Renzo Gracie, he really looked horrible in lazing his way to a decision in that one. Also, the only fights he's been impressive in was the wins over Hughes and the one over an almost completely groundless, made to order, Ludwig .. otherwise BJ hasn't looked very good at all [Both physically, and in his performances. IE: Rodigo was handling him in the 1st, then he seemed to gas and allowed Penn to come on and take the fight in the 2nd and 3rd rounds ... Machida and Penn BOTH looked out of shape, and both were guilty of giving very dull efforts in that go ... IMHO if Renzo had been in prime shape, and able to go hard for the full limit .. he could have very possibly taken that fight as BJ looked so sluggish and sloppy .. it just a very ugly, poor effort there as well].

So, with those fights to reflect on, and seeing that his worst performances were also his most recent fights ... And, what with GSP only getting better and better with every day of hard training, etc.. I just see a train wreck coming, and it sure ain't gonna me GSP gettin' derailed in this collision.

BJ is a fucking warrior, it proves that he'll fight anyone any time. I doubt he'll beat them all, but I would pay to watch all of those fights.

Penn is just damn talented. He could conceivably pull it off.

"Sooner or later the UFC will run out of guy's to protect Matt before GSP gets his shot."

you mean his SECOND shot.

Penn could very well pull it off. and sub wreslter...you forgot about Penns dominance of Gomi.

didnt BJ totaly tool everyone's posterboy gomi?????????????????????????? he'll have a hard time, but if u could name someone that cn pull it off penn is the only name that comes to mind

Go Karo!

He is ambitious and ballsy, give him that.

And he's backed it up (pretty much), thus far...

GSP had a hell of a run lately and to me he really looks like he would beat Hughes the next time, but him getting another title-shot so soon is based on the fact that only Trigg, Karo and Sherk was even close to his and Hughes level in that div.

Now that Penn is in the mix, I don't feel GSP is overdue for another shot at the belt. I like him and I'd like him to be champ but it wouldn't be unfair in any way if Penn vs Hughes 2 or Penn vs GSP happened before Hughes vs GSP 2.

I think Penn should be allowed to move to 185 if he choose to, but he shouldn't get a title-shot right away.

BJ hasn't really proved himself in the UFC enough to justify a title shot whereas GSP has been working his ass off lately. Now, I know he beat hughes in the past - whooped his ass in fact - but what has he done in the ufc lately?

I like Penn but he needs to focus on one fight at a time.

I always find it fuckin hilarious how some of you guys right off Matt Hughes considering he is the most dominant champion the UFC has had!! He is the guy who always (well nearly always) finds a way to win!!He lost to Penn cos he tried to play BJ at his own game (overconfidence methinks) and lost convincingly!! In a rematch he would play a completly differant game and imo would win a boring decision!!!
