I asked about this before but it just got confirmed I am spending the next two weeks in Artesia NM for work.
Anyone know of any BJJ or MMA gyms in and around the Artesia or even Roswell area?
I don't think there's anything. That area is awful.

Artesia sucks. I spent 4 months there back in 2000. They didn't even have a Wal-Mart back then, just a K-Mart.

It is absolutely awful, I've only been there for a week before. Two weeks should be miserable. I live it Albuquerque now and although it sucks, it's comparably a vibrant metropolis compared to Artesia.
Guys, holy shit. I have a nephew that lives in Artesia, and yes all that you say about this lovely hamlet is true (it's hell). However, is there any new info on any good BJJ spots near here? I'd LOVE to get him hooked up with a legit school. He's a great kid and I think this would help him a lot.

There is an MMA gym in Roswell about 30 minutes away, not sure how it is.
The instructors at the FLETC I trained with there were a joke, very anti BJJ... The polar opposite of the ones at the FLETC in GA that know their stuff.
