This is a bullshit sensationalist list. They used Sonnen to get hits. You can be a hater but name the last boring Chael fight? His past 6 in the UFC have been entertaining. He hasn't Lay n Prayed in years. He's like a lawnmower if he gets on top. Terrible list.
As a former big Guida fan I think he deserves the #3 spot.
Lists like that make no sense - it assumes everyone likes the same thing. Its like making list of the worst flavors of ice-cream ... some people love chocolate, some hate it. There's no universal standard.
I've always thought Chael had some of the best GnP in the business. He brutalized Nate and Yushin, battered Silva in their first fight and his ground game looked great against Stann.
He sets a high pace on the ground and is not a lay n pray fighter. This is not a boring style.
CB Dolloway has had plenty of exciting fights. He's had 10 fights in the UFC and only 4 made it past the first round. OMG so boring.
All fights that Sonnen wins are boring. They are exciting when he loses because we get to see somebody beat the shit out of Chael. Any fight he wins consists of him laying on top of somebody, rabbit punching and covering their mouths all the way to a decision.
orcus - " All of them, if not for his opponent, or the drama of him possibly decisioning the champion. "
So in other words you have to go back pretty far to find his last boring fight?
Yes, a whole 2 fights ago against Bisping is SOOOOO far.
His win over Anderson if there was no triangle would have only been "exciting" because he beat him, not because of his terribly weak GnP. He stays "active" so as to not get stood up.
The bisping fight was terribly boring from Sonnen's end. The only moments of excitement were when Bisping amanged to get up, or when Bisping got the TD himself.
Were you excited when Chael was holding Bisping down or against the cage, whispering in his ear???
