Whitaker did look sharp last night but he was fighting a rather limited fighter in Canonier. Whitaker has a good jab and straight but I’m sorry, he still has nothing for Izzy. Izzy is much faster, longer abd much more technical. It would take Izzy having a real off night and Whitaker to have a great one in order for the fight to even be close
Whitaker did save Cannonier from getting embarrassed by Izzy though. Lol seriously, some of us thought Jared had something to threaten Izzy…we were very wrong

Hmm I disagree. We have seen when fighters try to stay on the outside and exchange strikes with Izzy… They lose. Whitakers only chance imo is to get in on Izzy and brawl with him up close or make it a wrestling match. Whitaker couldn’t do anything to Cannonier or Til on the ground so he won’t have much for Izzy either. I think people are forgetting how good Izzys anti-grappling is

If I remember correctly wasn’t Whittaker rather wild the first fight against Izzy?
He looked great compared to his last 2 fights. I don't know what made him start lunging in with hooks but it got him finished. If till wasn't so trigger shy atm he would've finished bobby.

You gotta remember how long it had been since Rob had fought when he fought Izzy. He was way too eager to bang, and probably a bit rusty. Now he’s had a couple scraps he’ll be 10x better.
