Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones has a message to fans who complain that heās not active.
āBonesā has been out of the cage since his controversial decision victory over Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 in February 2020. Jones first vacated his light-heavyweight strap due to a pay dispute with Dana White. The New Mexico native reportedly wanted to be paid as much as former boxing champion, Deontay Wilder.
It seems the issues between the two got figured out last year. The former light-heavyweight titleholder seemed intent on moving up in weight. For the past year, Jones has been vocal about his effort to cultivate mass for the heavyweight move.
To this point, the 35-year-old still hasnāt fought, despite declaring his move to heavyweight a while ago. However, it seems that weāre inching closer to seeing Jones compete again. The UFC reportedly wanted the former champion to fight Stipe Miocic this summer.
However, due to issues with the latter, the fight didnāt happen. Reports previously stated that the fight between the two is targeted for September. However, a meeting between Jones and Miocic is far from set in stone.
Due to Jon Jones not competing for some time, many fans have bashed him on social media. Now, the 35-year-old has hit back at those criticisms. Jones noted that heās been ready to go, but Miocic has held the fight up.
Jon Jones also stated that a fight with Francis Ngannou may be on the table. āThe Predatorā has been out of action since suffering a knee injury in January. āThe biggest complaint I hear from fight fans these days are ādude is taking too long, heās never going to fightā sounds like people are becoming impatient, itās a great problem to have.ā
āCorrect me if Iām wrong but Iām pretty sure in one of Danaās last interviews he stated āJonās ready to go, just waiting to see what happens between Stipe and Francisā Right now Iām focusing on controlling what I can, thatās packing on the poundsā
āFor all those who said I looked a little slow in my last training video, I appreciate the added motivation. Iāll push harder, canāt wait for you all to see your boy in actual fight shape. Everything has its processā
āIāve been hearing whispers about November but honestly I have no clue. Been hearing that Francis could possibly be back on the table thoughā

Wife beating child abusing criminal animal.
Half yāall wouldnāt say that shit to his face.
Does that somehow make it less true?
Jon Jones doesnāt know exactly when heāll make his long-awaited heavyweight debut, but the former UFC light heavyweight champion and all-time mixed martial arts (MMA) legend believes things could finally fall into place by end of year.
Believe it or not, fight fans havenāt seen Jones compete since his unanimous decision win over Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 back in Feb. 2020. That means if āBonesā doesnāt fight until the end of this year it would be almost three years on the sidelines for one of the greatest fighters of all time. It seems like a complete waste of prime fighting years, but Jones has been patiently waiting and preparing himself for the best heavyweight debut possible.
Luckily, it shouldnāt be much longer before Jones is stepping inside of the Octagon and showing fight fans what heās capable of doing at the heavyweight level. Given Jonesā track record and status as one of the best fighters ever heās expected to get an immediate title shot in his debut. That could be an interim title fight with former champion Stipe Miocic or a super fight against current UFC heavyweight titleholder Francis Ngannou. Either way, fight fans can expect Jones back in action before the calendar flips to 2023.
On Friday, Jones took to social media to discuss his impending return. The former UFC champion doesnāt have too much information at this time, but he did reveal that heās heard whispers of a fight this coming November. Also, Jones believes that Ngannou, who is still recovery from knee surgery, may be back on the table as an option.
āIāve been hearing whispers about November but honestly I have no clue,ā responded Jones when asked when fight fans might see him compete again. āBeen hearing that Francis could possibly be back on the table though.ā
Earlier this week, Jones released a short training video showcasing his new standup skills as a heavyweight. While some previous footage seemed like Jones was moving a little slower than usual at his new weight āBonesā looked absolutely incredible this time around. If itās a sign of things to come then the heavyweight division better be on high alert.
