I know they are obviously bringing her along slow and trying to build her as a "scary monster" before getting signed to a big show but this seems real weak for someone as good as Holm. Every MMA fight Ive seen of hers, SHE looks like the vet and her opponent looks like an uncoordinated no-hoper.

This is not a Legacy card. Part of Holm's contract allows her to fight outside of the Legacy contract. The promotion holding the event is actually her promoter's. I'll add that info to the article. Thanks!
Holm has 2 fights left with Legacy. Hayes has been around for a while and has fought some top names in WMMA, but has fallen short to all of them. She also hasn't fought in nearly 2 years. Not the ideal opponent for Holm who should be facing better competition as she gets closer to the UFC, but right now staying active is equally just as important.
As far as I'm concerned, the more we get to see Holm fight the better. She is in the upper echelon of strikers in the sport. Not in WMMA, but in MMA period.

Fight before her range was so off, too far out with all her punches.........

yeah good eye on that. Legacy that night is in San Antonio. Holm's fight will be in Albuquerque.

duckhuntgangsta -She could go to the UFC but wants to get more experience first. If expect her to get 3-4 more fights and then go to UFC. This is a fight that was left over and part of the original contract with Holly's promoter/manager who has managed Holly through her boxing and MMA career. When we signed her to a four fight deal with Legacy this fight was already planned and we actually help each other a lot. By the way Holly will fight anyone and I am lining up fights for her already into 2014.
