Agreed. Even if heās working on a revised/updated edition due to new info, you wouldnāt normally yank the old version suddenly.

FWIW, I just talked to Richard today and he is requesting that people NOT purchase his book.
There are a bunch of new Facebook ads going using pictures from Richards life but they are NOT from Richard Bressler. He has nothing to do with these ads.
I donāt want to speak for him but hearing the āwhole storyā I get why he is --again-- politely asking people TO NOT PURCHASE HIS BOOK, at this time. (It has nothing to do with any Gracies, FWIW)

Does it secretly have to do with the gracies, but he legally cant say that. Or does it secretly have to do with the gracies but he has been bamboozled by the gracies and now doesnt want to say anything?
Or secret option 3 does it genuinely have nothing to do with the gracies?

Ah, i see, itās a question of rights and remuneration with his ghost writer. So in regards to rorion, I offer a complete and utter retraction. The imputation was totally without basis in fact, and was in no way fair comment, and was motivated purely by malice, and I deeply regret any distress that my comments may have caused rorion, or his family, and I hereby undertake not to repeat any such slander at any time in the future.

Noticed the kindle edition was back on Amazon and picked it up. Was an interesting story, definitely worth the time. A good many pictures of BJJ in the dying days of disco. E.gā¦

ā¦Iām about tapped out now on Gracie history books. Between the Carlos Gracie book, the Choque trilogy, and Ricksonās book, weāve got a fairly accurate idea now I think.
(Ricksonās book was especially surprising considering itās an autobiography. Dude just didnāt care anymore)

As I mentioned, itās well worth reading, I definitely learned a few things. Richardās a far out cat and has lots of interesting stories, heās a hippie with a lot of hippie beliefs, but it doesnāt detract from the tale
