Since his tragic passing 50 years ago in 1973, Bruce Lee has continued to be the most influential figure in the history of martial arts.

Lee’s teachings, philosophies and art of Jeet Kune Do have had a huge impact on MMA as we know it, being just as relevant today as they were in the 60s and 70s.

Credited as the godfather of the sport, Lee emphasised the importance of breaking down traditional martial arts into one free flowing style.
Alongside the passing on of his knowledge, his movie career also had a huge impact on combat sports today, inspiring countless men and women to search out their nearest martial arts schools and gyms.

Now, he will be represented in the form of an anime series, “House of Lee”, which is set to air in 2024 as reported by Deadline.

House Of Lee Trailer Date And Synopsis Revealed

It’s not uncommon for anime to take real world events and people and use them in it’s own way, with Bruce Lee now set to get the same treatment.
The first trailer for House of Lee will air during the 50th anniversary 4K re-release of Enter The Dragon which is being screened throughout this week.

The project is something Shannon Lee, Bruce’s daughter, has wanted to see for a long time with anime providing a perfect framing device to represent her father.

“Anime is an amazing medium for telling a truly creative story where Bruce Lee can be Bruce Lee,” said Shannon Lee. “I’m so excited for the possibilities for action, fantasy, history, culture, and creativity within this medium.”
Bruce Lee Entertainment partnered with Shibuya after Shannon Lee was impressed by a short of theirs called “White Rabbit”.
