"I'd love to see him fight Anderson at 185"
Theyre in the same camp...plus Machida is RIPPED for 205. 185 dont seem possible

Sokoudjou will win i think. i think hes the future as well
Machida's style is going to clash with Sokoudjou's, I think we'll see a three-round bout in this one that could go either way. If I had to pick, I'd always take the guy with KO power, so Sokoudjou it is.
I like Machida but Soko will win this one.
Can not wait for this fight the 29 Dec. Card is shaping up nicely!
"Theyre in the same camp."
I totally forgot about that, thanks.
"..plus Machida is RIPPED for 205. 185 dont seem possible"
Totally do-able. He's lean, but he's not a big guy at all. Franklin has a bigger frame and he makes 185 (Rich was also leaner than Lyoto when they both weighed 217 for their fight). Lyoto, like Rashad, looks way smaller than the majority of other 205ers.
If he score a first round KO I will laugh.
Soko rocks! TTT for him kicking ass in the UFC!
LOL at that prediction. MMAfanboyweekly tells me Machida isn't even close to being a top ten fighter. Soko by KO. Come back to me when Machida is 100 percent Japanese rather than just half, and maybe me and mmaweekly can put him in our top ten.
Literally LOL-ing @ tartuffe.
Priceless.

Otherwise, Machida would have entered the top ten after beating Nakamura, but then been pushed out by Forrest and Jardine.
And WTF are you talking about, for the longest while MMAWeekly's rankings used to be extremely UFC-centric.
(But what else did you expect when their founder used to actually be a UFC employee at the same time?)
Btw, if Sokoudjou beats Lyoto, he is almost certainly the Fighter of the Year for 2007.
^^ "Btw, if Sokoudjou beats Lyoto, he is almost certainly the Fighter of the Year for 2007"
Hard to argue with that.
IF he wins, going 3-0 against Nog, Arona and Machida consecutively is a huge accomplishment.
I'm really intrigued about this fight.
Soko has looked amazing in his quick wins over top guys, but Lyoto is a technician and has the tools to make Soko look bad.
Too tough to call!
"Machida may be the best technical striker at LHW, I simply don't see how he can be beaten."
While I won't dispute your statement about his technique, I will point out that Lil' Nog has very solid boxing skills of his own and got KTFO'd by Thierry. Soko is a wild card in MMA, he's a relative new comer who has clearly shown that he isn't intimidated by fighting a big name. Compound confidence with power and speed (which he has plenty of both) and you have a fighter that will walk to the center of the ring and trade, to be frank too he's shown he really only has to connect ONCE to end a fight. Its a very compelling match up but I have a feeling that Soko will stop Lyoto in the second round or earlier.
Go lyoto but is a very hard test
has Machidas chin ever been tested??he has great defense but has ne ever been rocked before???if not, it will happen in his fight against SOK...should be a very good fight..props to the boys at zuffa for getting SOk asnd setting this up..
I don't get it, Soku gets 2 one punch wins with some flailing and he is he next hero of 205. But, right before his 2 quick flash victories in Japan, he got put to sleep BADLY by Glover Teixeira.
Glover Teixeira is the next 205 up and comer.
Skou got KTFO by a BJJ black belt, whle standing and striking. Glover should be in the UFC.
I'm a fan of Machida - he's refined and technical and great to watch. But, I think Soko's going to win. He's too explosive standing and knows how to take you down when the going get tough. I predict a 2 round beating, TKO win for Soko.
"Glover Teixeira is the next 205 up and comer. "
Agreed!
