Can you imagine if STRIKEFORCE did this on CBS?

They might actually get some more momentum going (and redeem themselves from that Nashville snoozefest)!

-Superfight: Dan Henderson vs. Fedor
-Gina Carano vs. Miesha Tate
-HW GP semi finals (preferably Overeem vs. Bigfoot and Barnett vs. Sergei)

Monsters Ball - Just keep mayhem off of CBS so he doesn't start any more brawls.

fixed

the next CBS show will have Herschel Walker on it.

RKing85 - the next CBS show will have Herschel Walker on it.

Even better as he will draw more eyeballs too.

What CBS show?

CBS is done with MMA, or they would have had Strikeforce back on by now.

The head of CBS never wanted Strikeforce, it was other executives that talked him into allowing Strikeforce on to see how they would do.

And after that embarrassing brawl, it was the last chance.

Keep dreaming, people.

yea that brawl seriously ruined any chances of mma on cbs in the future.

nothing would have happened if fedor and bj were in the cage wats the point? diaz is in his corner, mayhem came in uninvited.

CBS had footage of the brawl on their website the day after the event.

They had a problem with the average ratings not with the brawl.

Strikeforce will be on CBS again.

Spring 2010 Coker said he wanted to be back on CBS by the fall of 2010. December 2010 he said talk with CBS have been ongoing, and he hoped early 2011 he would be back on CBS.

Yet, nothing. NOTHING.

So, what is your evidence CBS wants anything to do with Strikeforce??

CBS has the top 12 of 14 shows on TV right now.

CBS doesn't need Strikeforce. Indeed, Strikeforce is a risk to their incredible success.

So, again, what is your evidence?

Nothing but wishful thinking. Good luck with that.

Where is your evidence?

CBS hasn't publicly cut ties with Strikeforce.

Strikeforce has done great ratings on Showtime(same ownership as CBS).

My evidence is rather obvious:

1. Coker and CBS announced plans to talk about another CBS card in early 2010. NOTHING.

2. Coker and CBS announced plans to talk about another CBS card in the fall of 2010. NOTHING.

3. Coker and CBS announced plans to talk about another CBS card in early 2011. NOTHING.

See the trend? I can't make it much simpler.....

If another CBS event was going to happen, what are they waiting for?

Is CBS simply making sure the Mayans don't end the world on 2012 first?

I mean wtf

What is difficult to understand here?

CBS programming chief, referring to the brawl:

"When people call MMA fighters a bunch of thugs, usually, they're wrong and misinformed. But as an MMA fan of about 15 years now, I have to say, what you saw in the cage at the end of this show was thuggery."

"THUGGERY".....just what the top network wants to be associated with, right? CBS is family programming, man.

2+2=4

Plus the ratings did suck, too.....gotta admit that.

charlie sheen has a better chance of being back on CBS than strikeforce does at this point...

I highly doubt CBS will want to bring SF back, regardless of the potential match ups. Hendo vs Shields was supposed to be a first round amazing KO by Hendo, and was SF's attempt at getting rid of Shields after a loss. Melendez vs Aoki was a dude who rips peoples limbs apart or gets knocked out in the process, vs a guy who always puts on exciting fights...and it was a 5 round snoozefest. Mo vs Mousasi was one of the best striking based prospects in MMA vs one of the best wrestling based prospects(and a guy with a great, made for tv personality), and it was a snoozefest with a questionable decision. All of those fights could have been awesome, and ended up all going the distance in somewhat boring fashion. Why would CBS take that chance again?
