I hope a portion of the revenues are going to Nick's legal defense fund rather than just lining the Gangster from West Linn's pocket.

Anything to make a buck
Classic Chael
rrefs - Anything to make a buck
rrefs,
I mentioned the exact same thing in another thread. Unless the proceeds from the sales are going towards something productive like Nicks legal fees or to benefit MMA fighters rights, I say this respectfully, Its not cool for Chael to be trying to profit off this situation
Not really a chael fan but he has given tons of cash behind the scenes to fighters. Remember king mo telling the story of chael paying his hospital stay. I have no idea if he's going to pocket this or not but history shows he's always been generous.

100% he's going to write nick a fat check for majority of the sales or all of the sales. Say what you want about his shtick but Chael isn't running low on funds from what I can see.

To be fair, Chael is pretty tight with the 209 guys and it wouldn't surprise me if he is giving them a portion of the proceeds. We don't have enough information right now to make a judgement about whether he is being an opportunist or whether he is helping out a friend. However, if it is the latter, he should state that explicity on his web site. I for one would be a lot more likely to buy the shirt if I knew the money was going to fund Nick's fight against the NSAC.
Rumble busted my Sweedish Meatballs - Nick was reposting it on Facebook
stringtheory - Haha sick. Il buy one on payday.
Also lol at people thinking he's going to pocket all the money for himself.
I think it is a legitimate question. We are talking about a guy with a fraud conviction on his record after all. I like Chael, but I wouldn't trust him any farther than I can throw him. The guy is a hilariously entertaining and likeable con man, but a con man nontheless.

Trolls never die
Chael is swimming in cash these days and like other posters wrote very tight with sheilds melendez and the diaz boys.
I asked him at the weigh in q and a for rashad vs tito 2 who in this sport he considered friends and those were the first names he mentioned.
Bet anything this money is going to diaz..

Steve4192,
I agree, we dont know where the proceeds are going but in my opinon, if Chael made that information public knowledege that all the proceeds are going towards Nicks legal fees, the T-shirts will probably be sold out by the end of the day
aah making money of this
Chael trained with Diaz bros before. I think they're cool. doubt he's trying to do Nick dirty
Awesome i gotta get me one
Kind of a cheesy line "Don't be a bitch homie"... Kinda dumb thuggish. "Don't be scared homie" would have even been better.
Also, Nick personally retweeted the shirt.
It says on shirt description they teamed up with Diaz for the shirt. And only makin 500 of them I think I read. Both Diaz promoted the shirt on Twitter too
Steve4192,
There appears to be a problem
Nick Diaz's lawyer says that Chael Sonnen does not have permission to sell shirts with Diaz's name and they are addressing the situation.
Bloody Elbow reached Sonnen for comment and he reiterated that this shirt was made fully in partnership with Nick Diaz:
"Nick and I are partners, we have a deal to make these shirts. These are his shirts. If he wants to go a different direction or is unhappy with them, we'll pull them and I'll cut him a check."

Nick and Chael are buddies.
No way Mr Sonnen doesn't do this to help his bro Nick.
