Just when I thought “sport” BJJ couldn’t add any more guards or get any less effective in real life self defense…someone develops Gubber, Lapel Lasso and Canero guards!!!

Bjj self defense is bullshit

I’m not so sure. In a 1 on 1 fight I’m taking a person who at least has trained BJJ even if it’s just for 6 months.

Interesting.

I’ve seen and practiced those positions but I’ve never really heard them called by specific “guard” names like that. They’ve always been techniques and positions to work my guard from.

Yeah I don’t LOVE the lapel stuff as an A game, but it is super fun to play from time to time
