I watched the fight again last night and both fighters gave it there all. There wasn't a dull moment in the fight. Yes, both of them looked out of shape. That doesn't take away the award in my book.

It was the only truly exciting fight of the show, aside from a few moments in Horn/Palhares.
Entertaining, no doubt.
It had the most drama. It did not have a great display of MMA skil,
who did win the award? David vs. Lytle was entertaining even if it was more kick-boxing than MMA. Hopefully Hathaway got something for tearing Egan apart.

The Coleman v. Rua fight is what got me to pay for that ufc event. And both fighters left everything in the cage.

People shouldn't be rewarded for coming in out of shape and having to show heart because of a lack of conditioning. If Shogun was in shape that fight would have ended at the end of round 1.
