Tuesday, November 8, 2005 (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) - GFX Promotions
and CKMTC present the Gladiators Fighting Series "Return of the
Gladiators" Kickboxing at the Transcona Country Club, 2070 Dugald Road
in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada this Saturday night, November 12, 2005 at
8:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Over 12 bouts will be featured including a much anticipated Gladiators
Heavyweight Championship bout between Winnipeg's own 2-Time ISKA North
American Heavyweight Champion Giuseppe "The Godfather" DeNatale (CKMTC)
and Atlanta, Georgia's ISKA US Heavyweight Champion Kelly Leo "The
Lion" (Team Leo).
Both are experienced, rugged K-1 fighters who are not afraid to bang
shin-to-shin for a full 5 rounds. It's safe to say, someone's going
down swinging in this donnybrook. DeNatale looks to fulfill his
community service, vowing to be the lion killer, "I'm taking out a
contract on the Lion. One of my punches, kicks or knees is going to
give him "an offer he can't refuse." You can take that to the bank."
Other bouts that are sure to produce their fair share of sparks include
a few highly anticipated rematches. CKMTC's feisty Mark "Black Wolf"
Durant takes on a very tough Marc "House of Pain" Bourgeois in a
rematch of their memorable February 13, 2004 tussle in Winnipeg that
Durant barely won on points.
In another featured pairing, Winnipeg's "Dangerous" Dave Zuniga
rematches Hamilton, Ontario's Adam "Road Warrior" Higson, who recently
captured the Gladiators Fighting Series "King of the Middleweight
Gladiators" title in Calgary June 4th on TSN.
Zuniga beat Higson on points to capture the Gladiators series "Last
Gladiators Standing" 8-man tourny title a few months earlier on
February 19, 2005 in Winnipeg. Once again, this will be a another
dogfight to the end. Truly a "last man standing" bout in the making.
