What's the definiton of 'robbery' or 'BJJ' or 'dominant win' or 'lay n pray' here on the UG?
Or 'top 10'?
Or 'overated'?
Commenting on someone’s religion is not racism...irresponsible journalism
Haole -Dirtyu D -Haole -Amashinga -really? lol, so where is the reference to race in is statement?Kirik - Calling Ed Soares a member of a piglet tribe is racist?
The full context is "whatever Demon effigy you prance and dance in front of with your piglet tribe of savages"
This entire statement is about as xenophobic and racist as it gets.
please, let us know what words you read in that sentence as a racial reference.
I guess the idea is that he's accusing Brazilians of being savages
Could be that, but seems like a stretch
how is calling someone a 'savage' racial?
If I were to say 'Brazilians are savages' how is that racial?
The term savage doesnt denote race.<br type="_moz" />
Well, if you were referring to them as savages because of their off-white hue, it would be safe to call such a statement racist, right. But as I said, it's a real stretch to claim that is what's going on here
Why would anyone take anything on the Huffington Post seriously? If that wasn't enough, its from some dipshit called 'dedrick muhammed' sporting a bowtie who's only credential is that he was on Al Sharpton's national coalition....This is comically sad. Jesus, this guy may as well be critiquing NASA as commenting on MMA, race or being a man...The only thing this guy prolly has an answers to are where I can find a bean pie and how to dodge getting served paternity papers...
Bentleysuper8 - I thought it was mandatory to be racist to be a republican.
Politicians and pundits at a much higher level are guilty of saying all kinds of racist shit about Obama.
Say what you will about Sonnen, he sells it.
yet the senior senate democrat is a former kkk grand dragon
go figure...
Amashinga -Kirik - Calling Ed Soares a member of a piglet tribe is racist?
The full context is "whatever Demon effigy you prance and dance in front of with your piglet tribe of savages"
This entire statement is about as xenophobic and racist as it gets. It directly insults or implies an insult against an individuals religion, race and culture.
surely you see that ?.
I think this account must be fake, or Sonnon is extremely stupid. Either one are a possibility.
I disagree.
I've got news for you, a good percentage of people are
Racist, sadly its within us, whether Chael is ~ I don't know,
I don't like his attitude very often, so don't watch his clips...
He is showing some Excellent Stand~Up of late, and smothering
Ground Work, I see him being a threat for a very long time in the MW Division..
Its gotta be good for MMA that he's Mainstream, whilst Drumming~Up interest for his Fights he needs to exercise a little more caution...
HereWeAre -mmabbn - People use the liberal love playing the race card because it's true. For example any complaint about Obama, especially from Republicans, is consider by them to be racist. That's tired as fuck.
Glen Beck called Obama a racist. STFU.
So? Doesn't change the fact that liberal play the race card. Obama went to a racist church for 20 years, so he no doubt is. Also Glenn Beck is a two faced asshole.
Chael said at the 115 Q&A today that the account is fake, making this terrible story even worse. Integrity.
Mike Russell - Chael said at the 115 Q&A today that the account is fake, making this terrible story even worse. Integrity.
serious?
lol...
donniejessup -piratepirate - "racist and xenophobic " ???
Somebody tell this asshole Ed is white?
<img src="http://img.youtube.com/vi/7hjNrpGijEI/0.jpg" alt="" />
he's not white, he's brazilian.
That isn't a race you fucking retard, its a nationality.
"So? Doesn't change the fact that liberal play the race card. Obama went to a racist church for 20 years, so he no doubt is."
You just played the race card.
<blockquote>HereWeAre - "So? Doesn't change the fact that liberal play the race card. Obama went to a racist church for 20 years, so he no doubt is."<br /><br />You just played the race card.</blockquote><br /><br />
Do you even know what playing the race card means? Example: Having a disagreement with someone on taxes, then that someone says "The only reason you're against taxes is because you hate black people." Has nothing to do with the discussion but being used to demonize the other person.
Obama did go to a church for 20 years that did preach hatred to non-blacks. There are many clips of the sermons on the internet which you can find. Saying so is not playing the race card. When someone picks out a church, one of the biggest things they look for is the type of man the preacher is. If they like him they will stay, if no they go. The Obamas stayed.
People need to get over it.....
GreenLight -Monsters Ball -GreenLight -goggs2009 - Liberal mindset... they see racism and invent it when it isnt even there.
You're not better with the liberal mindset assumption. I won't waste my time reading the article since the accusation was speculative and had zero merit. Whether he is racist or not, he hasn't indicated it. He's a republican, and republicans are typically racist, but that doesn't apply to everyone. They're reaching and gambling. While Chael is an idiot and will be decapitated by Anderson Silva, he's not dumb enough IMO to say something racist pubicly. His words, though hypocritical, are calculated and the man has a real estate job that he won't ruin by public racist statements.
lol @ Republicans are racist. I think you will find most racists on the other side. Most Republicans just want to take care of their family and not keep getting taxed for the out of control spending of the liberals. But yeah play the race card like most weak minded people do.
Look at the ethnic make up of the republican party. It wouldn't be so lopsided if it weren't for racism. They simply drove everyone else away and it's really part protestant Christians and the rest just WASP pride. This is why they have so much trouble relating to other ethnic groups. Then when they can't, they blame everyone else. "Liberal media" etc etc, there's always a scape goat excuse for them.
Most republicans want to live life the simplest way possible and not have to think about anything, even riding politician coattails to do so, being brainwashed and told what to do at every turn, and apply simple principles in a complex world, then deny it when it doesn't work, and then blame everyone else. Closed mindedness at it's fullest. Taking care of their families is second priority.
"I think you will find most racists on the other side."-I'd take a closer look at that statement. Racists exist everywhere but republicans have a reputation. It's filled with good ol boys.
I'm not a Republican, they are the party that ended slavery and was a big part of ending forced racial segregation. Democrats were the part of slavery and segregation.

The republican party back then did that which you say then when President Johnson came along and later the great compromise happened, that same party changed and came down hard on blacks and alienated them. Things haven't been the same since then. The democratic party picked up a lot of black support only since FDR had done some things to help them out. A lot of things change. Lots of people die and lots of new ones come in. Ideals and actions change a lot over time. Especially on a scale on centuries, regardless of whether or not the label changes or not. Republican & democrat are labels. <br /><br />Germany was set out to murder every non-white "Aryan" in the 30s and 40s and did it to a lot of them, blacks, Jews, Rom("Gypsies"), etc. Now they buy more hip-hop albums than any country outside of the United States. They even work with Israel on certain things like training anti-terrorist groups and SWAT (GSG-9 and so on). Things change drastically over time.</blockquote><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> I never understood why blacks would support the Democrats. They don't think they are capable of doing anything without their help. They treat them as though they are children. If it was for 90% republican support Jim Crow could still be legal.<br /><br />What exactly did FDR do to help black Americans?<br /><br
GreenLight has dropped some serious knowledge, though it will most definitely be lost on a lot of the tards who refuse to see the truth for what it is and will deny and make excuses at every turn to avoid it at all costs.
Fun Fact: the senior senate democrat is a former grand dragon of the kkk
I love how one side will accuse the other of hasty generalizations with....hasty generalizations. Nevermind both refuse to see bolstering their points in this fashion as logical fallacy.
The beauty of the bi-partisan system is that it keeps silly PC arguments like this one alive and well so we keep forgetting that BOTH parties have and will continue to fuck us whenever they feel they can.
GreenLight - ^No other major party did anything to help them in recent years. Republicans did nothing. It's like complaining about a guy getting these hot girls all the time, and complaining about them going to him and not you. Obviously he's doing something right, something you're not doing. Same here. Republicans are mostly WASP and are ONLY for themselves, and they continually insult every other ethnic group, then they bitch about why the democrats get the support of everyone who they alienate, which is every ethnic group other than WAPSs, and use fake empathy to pretend like they care about anyone else but themselves and also pretend like they were there for civil rights etc.
You say Democrats treat them as children which I don't necessarily agree with but I won't get into that. Republicans treat them as if they are monkeys. Republicans clearly do not like black people in any way and want NOTHING to do with them at all. This is obvious. Any shock as to this shirt being sold and bought at at least one of the republican rallies for McCain?
<img src="http://scottthong.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/curiousgeorgbamashirt.jpg">
Shit if you keep trying to get support from an ethnic group, and they want nothing to do with you, isn't it obvious you're doing something wrong? Yes it is.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franklin_D._Roosevelt%27s_record_on_civil_rights
"African-American civil rights
Roosevelt's attitudes to race were tested by the issue of Black (or "Negro") service in the armed forces. The Democratic Party at this time was dominated by Southerners who were opposed to any concession to demands for racial equality. During the New Deal years, there had been a series of conflicts over whether African-Americans should be segregated in the various new government benefits and programs. Whenever a move was made to integrate the races Southern governors or congressmen would complain to Roosevelt, who would intervene to uphold segregation for the sake of keeping his party together. The Works Progress Administration and the Civilian Conservation Corps, for example, segregated their work forces by race at Roosevelt's insistence after Southern governors protested at unemployed whites being required to work alongside blacks. Roosevelt's personal racial attitudes were conventional for his time and class. Some historians argue that he nevertheless played a major role in advancing the rights of blacks, and others say it was due to prodding from Eleanor Roosevelt and liberals such as Ickes, Perkins, Hopkins, Mary McLeod Bethune, Aubrey Williams and Claude Pepper.
In June 1941 Roosevelt issued Executive Order 8802, which created the Fair Employment Practices Committee (FEPC). It was the most important federal move in support of the rights of African Americans between Reconstruction and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The President's order stated that the federal government would not hire any person based on their race, color, creed, or national origin. The FEPC enforced the order to ban discriminatory hiring within the federal government and in corporations that received federal contracts. Millions of blacks and women achieved better jobs and better pay as a result. The war brought the race issue to the forefront. The Army and Navy had been segregated since the Civil War. But by 1940 the African-American vote had largely shifted from Republican to Democrat, and African-American leaders like Walter White of the NAACP and T. Arnold Hill of the Urban League had become recognized as part of the Roosevelt coalition. In June 1941, at the urging of A. Philip Randolph, the leading African-American trade unionist, Roosevelt signed an executive order establishing the Fair Employment Practice Commission and prohibiting discrimination by any government agency, including the armed forces. In practice the services, particularly the Navy and the Marines, found ways to evade this order -- the Marine Corps remained all-white until 1943. In September 1942, at Eleanor's instigation, Roosevelt met with a delegation of African-American leaders, who demanded full integration into the forces, including the right to serve in combat roles and in the Navy, the Marine Corps and the United States Army Air Forces. Roosevelt, with his usual desire to please everyone, agreed, but then did nothing to implement his promise. It was left to his successor, Harry S. Truman, to fully desegregate the armed force"
Except for the fun fact that he put Japanese americans into camps. Also the blacks in the military at the time were divided from whites.
