anytime you use footwork in MMA than you are running. Better yet, he should stay still and let Diaz pick him apart.
He outstruck Nick using a variety of attacks and great footwork. He had Diaz shooting for takedowns. I don't see how anyone can not see this.
he turned his back and ran. He's not some masterful boxer who ducks under, counters, and circles off. he literally turned and ran, multiple times every round
If he had used footwork to gain an angle to actually HURT Diaz, or even land something solid, I would be all about it. This was a masterful display of absolutely nothing.
Agreed, Condit clearly put more thought into the fight. He worked the angles, kept mobile and from what I saw put more hits on Diaz. 
I agree, even my buddy who trains thinks he should have fought him like a man.

Condit, Edgar and Dominick Cruz have shown how to win in the UFC: go backwards and throw counters. Avoid the ground and you win!
Condit would duck under or spin off the cage to reset in the center of the cage. It was great seeing someone have great cage awareness.
One of my favorite fighters is Thiago Alves who has absolutely horrible cage awareness and always lets fighters push his back to the cage.
Carlos was aware that Diaz can only throw his combos once you stay still and are not mobile. He took away Diaz's only way of winning.
If Carlos had stood still and let Diaz pot shot him than everyone would say Carlos is an idiot. Now, that he used footwork than everyone is bitching.
Everyone here was talking shit about Cerrone saying he had no head movement or footwork but now that Condit did the opposite you guys are still bitching.
Footwork is supposed to do two things: keep you away from getting hurt, and put you in position to hurt someone. He did one of those things very well.
