Conor McGregor reached the top of the mountain. Two UFC titles and a world of fans made McGregor the king of combat sports. Even now with two straight beatdowns in a row by Dustin Poirier, Conor is still a social media mogul. It seems like the fans will be watching McGregor no matter what he does.
Nick Diaz on the other hand has not won a fight in 10 years. Two big loses to GSP and Carlos Condit left Diaz hopeless for another title shot. A failed drug test and a long suspension ruined his career. He did come back and looked really bad vs Robbie Lawler at middleweight.
If Nick Diaz could come down in weight to his normal weight class and McGregor is ready at welterweight this fight has potential. Both fighters were once considered great but it looks like their time has expired. Still both popular and two of the best smack talkers to ever fight in UFC this fight would bring eye balls. The winner would have a chance at a career while the loser would most likely have to retire in disgust.

Both Conor McGregor and Nick Diaz were once great fighters, but at this point in their career’s just a win would be nice for both.
