Cory v Umar

UFC looking to put together sandhagen v nurmagomedov…big risk for sandhagen to take if it happens. I personally dont think umar deserves that fight but that would definitely be a must see

You say “big risk for Sandhagen”, then suggest Umar doesn’t deserve it? That pretty much explains why it’s a great match. He is a danger, Sandhagen is a danger, that makes for a great fight. Fans will win.

I did not. What’s the tldr?

Cory seems like dom but dislikeable. I cant explain it and i am sure it’s just me.

Yea cory is 4, umar is 11 huge risk rankings wise for cory. As for umar not deserving it yes hes undefeated but hadnt beat a single ranked opponent in the ufc have him fight one of the guys right in front of him like munhoz, yadong, or font before automatically jumping into top 5

Umar has been steamrolling people. UFC holds fighters back too much just like Khabib and Islam. Look who he trains with and how much talent he is showing. He clearly belongs near the top and we came to see the best fight eachother. He doesnt need to smash another scrub to prove it.

Sure Nurmagomedov is only 4-0 in the UFC and Sandhagen is 9-3 and has been in there with four current or former UFC champs but at some point every fighter climbing the ranks needs a crack at that top 10 name.

You could have said the same thing when Sandhagen was 3-0 in the UFC and got a crack at John Linekar.who was 12-3.

Just the way it goes.

Cory had not beat a single ranked fighter in the UFC when he got to fight Lineker who was #8 and Cory was not even ranked in the top 15 himself.

Rozenstruik was just complaining about having to fight #14 when he is #8 even though Rozenstruik himself just went 1-2 in his last three and 0-4 vs the top 10. Look how that fight went.

At some point you have to realize rankings only mean so much and UFC does not book fights based on any sort of perfect system and its about who is healthy enough to fight and who will agree to this or that fight and what fights are in demand.

I absolutely see your point but don’t you vthink itbwould be better if he fights one of the guys i listed and if he wins then set up him an cory better build up and also shows hes ready

I don’t know why, either. He’s one of the least unlikable UFC fighters.
