Shogun is in a BJ Penn situation imo. A fighter at that level cannot afford to be running his own camps. He needs to be in a structured environment where he is getting pushed to the limit every single day by other world class fighters.
Like BJ, Shogun is selling himself short. And in this sport, not only will you not reach your potential, but you run the risk of taking serious damage that you otherwise wouldn't.
Shogun is hands down my favourite fighter, and last night he put on one of the greatest displays of heart ever seen in any sport, but I am 100% certain that fight would have gone very differently had he shown up in shape. He needs to train at Kings full time.
