ESPN The Magazine will release its second annual “Body Issue” Friday, Oct. 8. The issue is a celebration and exploration of the athletic form, honoring athletes of diverse shapes, sizes, colors, genders and race. The issue launched in 2009 and its feature “Bodies We Want” showcased tennis star Serena Williams, running back Adrian Peterson, basketball star Dwight Howard, NASCAR racer Carl Edwards, MMA fighter Gina Carano and amputee track star Sarah Reinertsen. The 2010 “Bodies We Want” edition will feature the New York Knicks’ Amar’e Stoudemire and the Phoenix Mercury’s Diana Taurasi among the nearly 40 athletes in photos.

Meisha Tate/Brian Caraway couple would have been a better representation of "Bodies We Want", IMO.
