Ufc isn't going to sign Sergei because he makes 100,000(flat) per fight. ufc isn't going to pay a guy who isn't even top 20 100 k per fight.

Crazy how when Kharitonov first came out he was this really well rounded destroyer. Now it seems as though his fights are over once it hits the ground. I think he's been focusing strictly on kickboxing and boxing the last couple of years. He could make a living as a boxer, either way I enjoy all of his fights, the guy is a bad motherfucker.
And the Ghita fight was his first or second K1 fight. Kharitonov showed how tough he is in a terribly lopsided match up.
Makes no sense to not sign him. He has great standup and I doubt his ground game is as bad as people are saying. No shame in being submitted by the Baby Faced Assassin.

This, he doesnt like the exclusive contract unless its for the right money.
Personally I dont get it, if you want to fight the best you have to fight in the UFC HW div, I mean I guess he is ok with taking fights like this, fights vs nobodies in Dream, really though the only big fight for him outside Zuffa is vs Fedor.
He isnt worth alot of money to the UFC honestly, he isnt a big name so they arent gonna pay him like Reem, Reem took the deal cause K 1 is dead and he got paid alot so taking an exclusive deal is ok.
Sergei isnt nearly as valuable so he isnt gonna get that big time money from the UFC and to him its not worth signing an exclusive deal.
he will look to probably get a fight vs Fedor, if he wins that fight he can maybe get a bigger deal from teh UFC.

Yup, this is whats gonna happen.
Fedor has nobody to fight, Sergei is a good HW, a name hardcore fans know and will challenge him more than guys like Monson and Ishii will.
Would be nice if the winner of that fight came to teh UFC no matter who it was but probably wont happen, especially if Fedor wins.
But its def the biggest fight for Fedor outside Zuffa.

I think he didnt like how UFC wouldnt let him fight in K1 or Boxing, i dont think he was concerned as much about non-zuffa MMA, just didnt want to only do MMA. i think thats the same reason mousasi doesnt go UFC too.
