Who in their right mind can honestly think that Hendo is ducking Lil' Nog?
He has earned himself high contender status and a chance at the next title shot depending on how the Hashad vs Davis fight goes down. Why would he risk losing a title shot (In the place that Hashad did not win or was injured)?
If Henderson did have to have a lay off and another fight I'm sure he would of signed and avenged his loss, the man is a legend and doesn't duck anybody and continues to fight the biggest names in the sport. More recently Shogun, Fedor(Reguardless of his form) and potentially Jones - The best LHW on the planet right now.

Dan Henderson has never ducked anybody. Fighting Fedor, one of the best Heavyweights ever, who outweighed him, and then fighting Shogun, one of the top 5 all time Light Heavyweights in back to back fights is hardly ducking. There is clear logic in the simple fact that Dan should not be fighting Lil Nog after beating Fedor and Shogun. He should be fighting Jon Jones and Anderson Silva and doesn't have that many more fights left in him to waste it on fringe contenders.

He has always fought the top middleweight contenders 1by1 and beat them all. Who has he ducked and not fought (He has already fought both Chael and Dan with no hesitation).
He has little interest at the end his career with just finishing it with 1rematch after another and who can blame him?
Re original subject though Dan isnot ducking little Nog but If they want Jones on Montreal PPV in March I'd say Dan has better thank 50% chance of getting the fight as not only does Evans have to win he has to do it completely injury free to get that fight.

Nog is one win off a two fight losing streak. And that win was over a guy who has 1 win in 5 years. I can understand why Hendo wants to sit this one out and see how the landscape changes. He did just beat a guy one fight off of having the title who was coming off a win.

Why would Anderson want to fight guys he has already "finished" ? IMO a true warrior mentality is Anderson saying to both of these guys "hey didn't you guys quit the last time we fought"? You said it yourself in your post "he denies Hendo and Chael" because he is the one in control. All the trash talking that Chael does is just a form of begging. Dan has had back to back title shots in the UFC and lost both. He has had four title shots in the last four years, three of them came without a win in the organization he was fighting for. I like Dan but Anderson or Jones retires him for sure. Dan has had his chances and didn't make the most of them. He should be fighting whoever they put in front of him.

You are so full of shit it's coming out of your ears! He did not and cannot deny anyone a title shot, he's rehabbing a shoulder injury and will fight Chael Sonnen in the summer if he beats Mark Munoz (confirmed #1 contender bout). He did not call out Bisping (who by the way is not next in line for the title) but rather he flippantly agreed with a British reporter who asked him if a bout with Bisping would be an entertaining/marketable fight (Dan was in Strikeforce around this time by the way). I dare you to show me any proof of this "Bisping callout".
Dan Henderson lost to Lil Nog. In fact he was destroyed. He refuses to fight the guy and you have no problem with that yet Silva somehow owes Dan (who he demolished years ago and is coming off a LOSS at MW to Shields) a rematch and should end his rehab and fight injured to show us he will "fight top competition". Silva ALREADY BEAT those guys (Dan can't say that about Nog) and has also beaten Okami, Marquardt, Vitor, Rich etc. so what more do you want from him? Chael gets a rematch if HE beats top competition (Munoz).
Dan lost any right to criticize Silva (actually he was never in any position to say those things).

I agree 100% at this stage in hendos career he's earned the right to wait out the match ups he wants, plus there's kind of a log Jam at 205 and he's arguably the number one contender. Be a fool to take the Lil fight IMO 
If I were Henderon, I'd turn the fight down too - it's a really bad matchup for him and a loss would probably mean not getting another title shot.
