Um, water doesnt really move vaseline. Vaseline is petroleum-based and doesn't run with water.

the greased removed bj's ability to use his bjj for defense and offense on the ground. this led to him taking a far worse beating on the ground than he should have. beatings like those can fuck your cardio...
by removing the bjj ground advantage it opened up gsp's ground and pound making his take-downs an even worse threat. your take-down game opens up your stand up game.
bj's sense of urgency over the takedowns would have been heightened making him more susceptible to the stand up. it was a brilliant plan to use the grease.
too bad he cant implement the same shady plan against nick
The fight was not changed to a NC and GSP wasn't guilty of it when BJ tried to get his license revoked if he greased it wouldn't be counted as a win don't you think?
gsp wasnt guilty of what? you mean the video of them greasing him between rounds doesnt prove he was guilty of greasing between rounds?
the commission can say whatever they want. money talks my friend. who are you gonna believe? them or your own eyes?
we see the video proof in the bj fight and we know about all the other fighters that have complained about his greasy ass in the past.
its going to make it much more difficult for gsp to grease this time.

this must be a rhetorical question or you have already found the answer by reading further into the thread.
The point is to illustrate GSP's desperate situation with Nick Diaz. He was desperate against BJ and greased to insure his victory. He cannot do it against Diaz because of all the commotion that was caused when he was caught doing it against BJ. Nick is a bigger, stronger, better endurance version of BJ.
Nick doesn't have the same take-down defense as BJ, but without GSP being greased up he wont need to have BJ level TD defense.
A question that remains is will GSP find some other way to grease up rather than do in in front of the commission and the cameras? (vaseline bath)

Yes they wiped him down, but without soap and water you aren't getting the grease off of him.
You need soap and water to remove Grease.

if you are a betting man, you should be aware of these details before you decide how to bet on a guy that has cheated his way to the top.
Anderson Silva greases before and during every fight in which he faces a grappler.
Don't deny it, just watch him before each round.
Step 1: Rub eyebrows (which have been greased with vaseline before each fight in an attempt at quelling over excessive cuts)
Step 2: Rub chest and shoulders with excess vaseline taken from eyebrows.
Step 3: Not get blamed for it because everyone hangs from your nuts.
Silva can do it and no one says a word, but GSP does it and people hop all over him. MMA fans suffer from an over abundance of reverse narratives.
I ahve spotted silva doing this once before the leites fight. Not saying he doesnt do it before others but we should all watch for this.
i have not seen him do it agaisnt his last two opponents but then again they werent bjj champs
