His personal friendship and business relationship with Conor transcends the obvious imminent realities of the LW division and sporting aspect of the UFC. It’s the flip side of the hater coin, he’s in love with Conor and that’s fine, most MMA fans are. Boxing Mayweather does change things and McGregor is special, a unicorn as Dana says.
We just have to view Ferguson as the Champion now and Conor as the Interim Champ. If Khabib wins and fights Ferguson next, those two will be on a 19 fight combined win streak at LW in the UFC.
