The more I think about it the more better I like 3 minute rounds! Undercard fights could be 3 rounds, bigger fights 5 or 7 rounds, and champs 10. Just like boxing.
3 minute rounds would suck. id rather fight a striker under those rounds than a wrestler.
If he has any influence whatsoever over the commissions I would certainly hope he would be using it to get knees instated before adding rounds.
And ugh at 3 minute rounds; fuck that.

I do like Dana's idea, but if I was in charge,
I've always loved the old 30 min rule from IVC....but that won't happen, so at least 1 10min rd, then 1 or 2 5min rds.

Things are fine the way they are, the only thing they might want to consider is an overtime round for draws, though draws are very rare.
Draws are virtually impossible unless you have a point deduction. 10-8 rounds seem exceedingly rare in scoring.
Great idea except that I would say leave the option for 3 round fights still.
Agree with some of you on here...if this does happen then they should change the time limits to 3 minute rounds...but overall i don't like the idea...its good where its at right now.

No fucking way. If anything get rid of rounds, or make them 10 minutes, not make them shorter.
They should keep 3/5 but if the judges come back with a decision that isn't unanimous then it goes another round or two.
I think this is a bad idea. This will lower the number of fights per
card/PPV as well as lead to more possible injuries.

Well it used to be no rounds. A fight might finish at 5:01. The idea behind the 10 minute round was to give the fighters the opportunity to take the fight into their own hands, and not let the judges decide things.
I agree with Dana 100%. How could any fight fan want different? Fight fans want to see taps and KO's. Not BS judges decs.
